Friday night monthly! What a treat. I’ll use this as my background noise to play Saros with.

Alex79

20p cream eggs!? I feel another tooth extraction coming on... But it'll be worth it.

Scotty W

As someone from Pittsburgh, my one complaint about The Pit is that it doesn't make more prominent use of our distinctive regional accent. Yinz guys goin dahntahn n'at? (Side note: curious if you Brits have to ever use subtitles while watching American shows)

TracyWil1

Oh wow Jay, and I thought Blue Prince was stingy at dropping trophies.

BlueWeaselBreath

Massive fan of Cadbury Creme Eggs over here! In the US, it's harder to find them outside of Easter season. I would've stocked up on some 20p eggs! Also, at least in the US, before they ever changed the chocolate (which I didn't notice because I believe it's always been inferior to the British supplier), they changed the filling years ago from a runny, liquid-y center to a firmer, sweeter, and grainier formulation. I still like it, but it's much inferior.

Alex79

Ah man, we have Heron Foods in the Midlands and there's one right by where I work. I don't want to, but it would almost be silly not to go and buy a box of creme eggs. Wouldn't it?

TracyWil1

Also Leon, your assumption is correct. I live in the US. I try my best to educate myself on different cultures. I love hearing you and Jay talk about life and experiences ya’ll have in the UK. I want to visit one day.

Danny Abbasi

A harrowing tale egg-diction and recovery Jay, thanks for sharing. Hopefully Kai will be less of an enabler in future!

Picking up on the cheap eats chat - ditto Greggs vegan sausage rolls, and you can even buy them in the supermarkets (Iceland, Big Tesco) to bake at home. Another go-to for me these days is Korean brand Nongshim ‘Shin Ramyun’ noodles (with tofu puffs and kimchi, ideally), but watch out they are indeed spicy as the name apparently suggests. 3/4 of the spice packet is about right for me. Video games!

Danny Abbasi

(Sorry for the million comments) Love the new feature! Am I the only one thinking we could have at least one negative Spotify review each time, and Jay’s retort? 😆

Danny Abbasi

Ok one more - for Londoners stuck in the Big Smoke but curious about No Catch vegan fish n chips you can get the same thing at their sister restaurant Unity Diner. Also, Ben has indeed 1CC’ed Metal Slug, video up on the One Credit Classics YouTube channel 🫡

I’m a little worried now here hearing about that bloke with the Cola bottles when I’ve just eaten 5 bags of those Squashie sweets things in 2 days (though not 3kg’s worth!)

Cormoran Strike

Knowing you both enjoy a good horror movie, I hope your both able to see Obsession. Fantastic film, felt like a future horror classic

Simon Nelson

I’m not sure if this is the right place to put this but I don’t know how Leon and Jay consistently plan their schedule around surprise announcements but just a short time before your under a killing moon show is due to be recorded a remaster has been announced with kickstarter campaign imminent. It’s like it was meant to be. The question is was the kickstarter planned when they saw the 2026 Cane and Rinse schedule or is Leon secretly clairvoyant?

Here is the link if anyone is interested

Hey Leon and Jay. Just some feedback on the Saros discussion. As someone who has worked in marketing and publishing in games for 12+ years it's dispiriting to hear phrases like they just didn't market it very well. Marketing is often very limited by budget, access to game builds for capture, developer time for interviews etc. Dev diary content rarely performs as well as trailers and can be very challenging to make happen. It's also often easy to forget that sometimes we just aren't the target audience for a game (rightly or wrongly) and therefore the trailers are made in a certain way and adverts are targeted based on things like age, location, platforms. Hope I don't sound too moany, I've just heard that marketing is the problem a few times on the supporter pod and wanted to provide another perspective. (For clarity I didn't work on the game!)

Cane and Rinse

Absolutely fair comment. Any criticism from me (Leon) was aimed at upper management/executive for not committing to the marketing that the game deserved, or at least not providing a marketing team with the resources required, rather than aimed at marketing talent.

The only actor that I can imagine playing Jay in the story of the 20p Cream Eggs is the brilliant British actor Neil Maskell 😂😂😂😂

Stephen

30mins in and the main topic of conversation is still crème eggs. This is why I give you guys money! (Also the quality podcasts) All said, I don’t think I’ve ever had a white chocolate crème egg. It sounds simply fabulous!

Azzan

In regards to Saros discussion, I strongly believe that Sony demand instant hits (like Spider-Man and its 2023 sequal). Sony does not accept long term sustainable profit, no sir, they want instant hit (3 million copies day one) or else. By else, i mean shutting the studio down for good :-( what a shitty space the gaming industry is in.

Stephen

Yes, was god damn tremendous! Two really good horror movies released close to each other - Hokum and Obsession!

Stephen

Random comment! Thank you to Leon for introducing me to Let’s Eat Grandma! Been following their solo stuff and really loving those ladies!

Richard Perryman

Literally, this Crème Egg chat is (partially) why I resubscribed! It’s up there with the rice cooker chat from years ago. I’m not joking. It brought a huge smile to my face! Thank you! 🙂
