The Cane and Rinse podcast's seventh year commences with our look at the original 1996 incarnation of Capcom's Biohazard - AKA Resident Evil. Throughout the coming year we'll be working our way through the mainline, numbered instalments in the much-loved series, concluding with Resident Evil 7 in December. In this show, Leon, Karl, Michiel and Sean return to the gnarly Spencer Mansion with its digital tank controls, impossible item chests, spectacular dialogue and all. We also hear from a number of nostalgic community members, remembering their early experiences witrh the world of survival horror.

As always - great episode. The song at the end is mesmerising… I think I unironically like it, which probably points to some deep seated character flaw.

Totally stoked you're covering the Resi series, I love horror games and your coverage of the SH series was excellent!

Great episode. You really did justice to one of my favourite games of all time I really wish people would stop comparing any game without an automatic save system to Dark Souls though, especially when the game predates Dark Souls by 15 years

I hope its not...Chris' blood...

Fantastic episode. Such memories of this game. Cannot wait for the one that started me off in the series, Resident Evil 2.
