In the fourth of our ten show series on the core Resident Evil games, we take a trip to mysterious Rockfort Island and a desolate Antarctic base with the Redfields in search of answers about the history of Umbrella Corp and the Spencer Mansion. Leon, Darren and Michiel discuss the move from pre-rendered to polygon environments, the forward and backward steps taken by Resi as it arrives on 'next gen' platforms, plus of course your opinions and memories in our Resident Evil - CODE: Veronica podcast.

Another great episode. This is the one Resident Evil game that I’ve never managed to finish. I’m sure I will someday. 😃

Resident Evil Code Veronica is an odd duck for me. When I was a teenager my best friend went halfsies on a Dreamcast specifically for this game. One week the Dreamcast would be at my house the next week it would be with my friend. I wanted to love this game so much. It had beautiful graphics (for the time) and one of the most interesting plots of a Resident Evil thus far. I remember being so intrigued by the Ashford family, what was going on with those crazy twins?! But to my dismay hit a brick wall the size of no other with the Tyrant on the plane. To this day I still can’t get past him. I want to love this game and do love the first half but unfortunately the 2nd half will probably forever elude me. Oh well, that’s life. Recommend if you are a better gamer than me, if you’re about the same skill level (not great) than maybe on a deep discount. But be prepared for the wall.
