I picked up Final Fantasy X on launch day and like many people of the time was mind blown by the then best graphics I had ever seen. That opening cinematic immediately sucked me in to the world. I love Spira in a way that’s hard to quantify. From the calm beachsides of Besaid, the towering stadium in Luca, and the crazy technology of Bevelle and the secrets of their religion within, the world felt so well realized. I also love Blitzball and thought it was the only time I really enjoyed the mini game on display in the series. Heck I even really enjoyed the characters including the laughing scene as it really showcases the bond between Tidus and Yuna forming. To me I would recommend FFX especially for newcomers to the genre. Yet again another wonderful episode form the C and R crew! Thank you guys for all your work! Edit: yes the Magus Sisters are from another game, they were a boss fight in FF IV. 2nd Edition: one must play Blitzball on Manual NOT automatic, on automatic you have no control of any of the players and is almost unplayable that way. Also I don’t like the name of Sin, they may as well called him Bad or Evil, but that’s a small nitpick.

Been looking forward to this one. FFX is the game that divided me most. Wasn’t sold 100% on original release but played it all the same and still kind of enjoyed it. Went back to it on PSVita recently and loved every second of it. I feel nostalgia carried the enjoyment and it reminded me of simpler times within the gaming world. Loved collecting monsters, breaking the game through exploiting AP farming, and finally FINALLY defeating Penance. Brilliant. Also, Wakka being voiced by Bender from Futurama was a lovely treat.

Had this game on the ps2 at launch and could never finish it. Recently tried again in the Switch and same thing, couldn’t quite get to the end. I remember back when it came out how amazing the graphics were. I’ve enjoyed my time with it but I doubt I’ll ever get to the end.
