Did you know that the Egyptians built their calendar around the Nile River? They divided their calendar up into three seasons. Akhet, or inundation, was considered the first season and was the time of the flooding of the Nile. The other two seasons were Peret, the growing season, and Shemu, the harvest season. You can learn interesting facts such as this by playing Assassin's Creed Origins, but if you'd like to hear how each of the team got involved with Cane and Rinse then you'll listen to our latest exclusive monthly podcast instead!

There was a failed pronunciation of one of Jacob's YouTube recommendations that sounded really good. (Sports Writer, John Boyth?!) Can't find anything. What's the right spelling?

With Jay mentioning that he wonders how people discover the podcast I thought I’d share the brief journey which led me to be a listener. I found PlayStation Access on you tube through being recommended a list video they’d produced. At the time I was following them on twitter and saw that Nathan, one of the hosts, was guesting on a podcast called Final Games hosted by Liam Edwards. I started listening to this show and then Liam guested on Sound Of Play which led me to Cane and Rinse. Then I think Darren guested on The Computer Game Show when he talked about Yooka Laylee and that’s when I discovered them. I’ve wandered away from all the others a bit over the years but Cane and Rinse has remained from that very first listen my favourite podcast.

I was one of the folks that found Cane and Rinse through the Vice article a few years back! I live and work in Chicago and use public transit daily, so Cane and Rinse has been a godsend in passing the time. I always look forward to the different viewpoints that everyone has about each game and these monthly eps are nice bonuses.
