For the first time in our series of single format special podcasts, we reminisce about a computer, the 16, later 32-bit Commodore Amiga. Leon, Chris, Jesse and One Credit Classics' Ben Cartlidge fondly remember their beige, keyboarded wonders, and the 4000 plus odd (often pirated) floppy disks that they played on them. We also share some marvelous 'Miggy memories from Cane and Rinse community contributors. This console special was edited by Jay Taylor.

Broken Circus

Looking forward to listening. My poor Amiga is tragically ill (just needs recapping and cleaning up I think) but I love the culture around it. It's such a fascinating device.

Really enjoyed this episode. I had an Amiga 1200 but was very late to the party. My favourite game was Flashback and I also remember playing lots of demos and games from Amiga power cover disks. Also my Amiga was the first word processor I ever used. I used it for all my A-levels and in the very late 90s it accompanied me to university and helped me complete my degree coursework. It sat happily on my desk next to my N64 and PlayStation as I hammered on the keys to complete my dissertation one night in May 1999, the day before it was due. Lot of memories wrapped up with this machine. Also a massive thanks to Leon, Jay and everyone involved in this episode. Listening to it you can really tell how much research and work goes into a show like this one. Thanks guys. Ps. Great to hear Chris. He’s like an encyclopaedia of games.

I wasn’t going to listen to this podcast because I have no history with Amiga. However, it started playing while I was driving and I was hooked almost straight away. Sometimes I find episodes of Cane and Rinse a little dry, but this encapsulated what to me is the very best of the show....warmth, humor and a real passion and nostalgia. Really great job!
