Two bucks! (Patreon)

Hello everybody.

Following feedback from the community, we have decided that after four years - can you believe we launched this page in December 2015? - of keeping our Patreon entry level at the super-low $1 per month, we are going to up what we ask to $2 per month.

That's still only the equivalent of around £1.50 or €1.80 for a new podcast every week - often extended compared to the free show - and your exclusive monthly podcast with Leon and Jay chewing the fat - as well as reviewing the month past and previewing the month ahead.

Alongside the main event that is the Cane and Rinse videogame podcast, your money also supports the production and distribution of the weekly Sound of Play, Play;Write and The Sausage Factory podcasts.

And what's more, Patreon supporters will receive every new show from Volume 9 (2020) onwards a full four weeks earlier than the free feed.

We understand that in percentage terms, a doubling in price is a steep hike, but we firmly believe that the price of half a cup of high street coffee for the hours of high quality entertainment we produce is not too big of an ask, and we hope that most of you agree. 

Judging by the fact that the average donation per Patreon supporter is closer to $2, we reckon you probably already do, and as such can count on you to sign up at the new price when we set it in January 2020.

Thank you sincerely for all of your generous support past, present and future. It really does fuel the whole enterprise and enables us to keep producing the vast amount of content that we do.
