Why settle for controlling just a single solitary hero when you can wrangle a supergroup of 100? The Wonderful 101 is PlatinumGames' answer to the question that possibly no-one was asking. Leon, Brian, Josh, Michiel and community correspondents bust out their Wii U GamePads one more time to wrap their tongues and thumbs around combos, launchers, Unite Morphs and Unite Mixes in this deceptively deep cartoon action game.Music featured in this issue:1. Brilliant episode! Viewtiful Joe is my favourite game and I was ready to love The Wonderful 101, but I'm a few chapters into my second playthrough and my feelings align with those of Josh and Leon during their summaries. I've never known such an ostensibly lovable game appear less interested in being loved. The Final Fantasy XIII meme posits that the game takes 20 hours to teach you all its mechanics, but at least that leaves you with half the game to play around with them. In the same time, it'd be possible to reach the credits of The Wonderful 101 and still have no idea how to enjoy it.

This was a game ive always been curious about alongside Viewtiful Joe and it was a joy hearing you guys talk about its highs and lows. I think im gonna snag that little tid bit of 'The Epic Game Shelf' for myself so that im more mindful of the games and genres i love.
