Nice!! Thought of a question that you guys might be down to cover for the next exclusive. However, no worries if it needs editing down, or if any other commenters wish to share thoughts instead : ) Do you two have any thoughts on Playstation vs. Xbox? I’m looking to get a console in the near future, and I’m sure both are great, but am wondering if there are any specs or price point details I ought to consider before settling. Generally, I prefer the Microsoft approach to achievements as one grand total number, but other than that, I don’t really have any set preferences. As long as I can play a game like Elden Ring or Skyrim and have a smooth frame rate, I’ll be happy. 😊 Gamepass and PS Plus both seem to be good services, and from what I understand, both are available either way (I have a gaming PC,) so I could enjoy both Rare Replay, as well as obscure JRPGs of the Playstation variety. Love you all & the wonderful content you create. It’s a veritable oasis of kind-hearted, knowledgeable & thoughtful hosts and guests, that always helps the harder days feel less daunting 😊

If you’re not invested in one of the ecosystems already, then go where the games you want to play are. I guess it also depends on how good your gaming PC is (and also realize that Game Pass and PS Plus on PC are not equal entities since as far as I can tell PS Plus is streaming only-could be wrong there). For PC people, I think the better choice is PS5 just because you know Sony will never day and date a PC release with their console release unlike Microsoft. I personally prefer Xbox because I’ve never liked the DualShock controllers and the only Sony exclusives I’ve cared about (Spiderman games) are on my PC.

Great stuff, guys! The chat about Physical: 100 made me think about one of my favourite reality/competition shows: MTV’s The Challenge. It’s technically been on the air since the mid ‘90s, although it used to be known as Real World Road Rules Challenge as it was a crossover between two now-defunct MTV reality IPs, The Real World and Road Rules. Sometime around the mid ‘00s it became its own thing. Its 38th season just concluded! I think I’m one of maybe 150 Brits who watch it religiously, but I didn’t get into it until I moved the US about 11 years ago.

I think the voice acting conversation is interesting because I don't think you need to sound completely different for each role, you just need to be able to inflect and express emotion. Something a lot of on screen actors are pretty good at, big exception somewhat recently was Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk, I thought he really stood as bad especially compared to the rest of the cast. The trailer for the new DLC had Idris Elba and the skill gap there seemed very apparent.

It's interesting listening to Jay's Japan trip planning as, at the time of writing, I'm doing exactly the same thing. Though in my case it's to live there for work. My flight time is about 18 hours, with a change in Hong Kong, but with the travel to London and the airport it probably adds up to about 24. I didn't consider changing somewhere in Europe and pricing up the difference; but if it means going to Manchester I'm happy to avoid it as that airport is a bit of a mess at the moment. Hopefully Jay's trip goes OK and he's not stuck in the security queue for more than two hours.

Have a great trip, Jay! One thing you mentioned, you said you'd have to wait to get an Xbox to play Psychonauts 2 (unless I misunderstood what you said) - you know it's available for PlayStation as well?

Also, haha, Paramount Plus is available in the UK. There was a free trial recently as an Xbox Gamepass bonus. However, inexplicablely, there is not an Xbox app for the service! Works on mobile though. Paramount Plus can also be subscribed to as an additional channel on Amazon Prime Video, and some Sky customers get access to Paramount Plus at no extra cost. I only know this because we piggy-back on my in-laws Sky streaming and Paramount is included. Personally, if you already have Netflix, Prime and Disney+, I wouldn't say there's enough on Paramount to warrant a fourth subscription a month!
