Our last adventure with Samus for this year as we travel back to 2004 for the GameCube sequel, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Leon, Brian, Leah and Rich - along with contributors from the Patreon and forum - revisit Retro Studios' divisive dark middle chapter of their first-person 3D trilogy. For some, this instalment is one of their least fondly remembered Metroid experiences - frustrating and unfriendly, For others it is their favourite - a moody, challenging masterpiece. Where do you fall? And where's that remaster?Music featured in this issue:1. Menu Select by Kenji Yamamoto2. Vs. Dark Troopers by Kenji YamamotoEdit by Jay Taylor

Just a slight correction, hunters was not a launch game for the DS. We got a demo for it packed in with launch DS games, and the actual game launched in summer 2006.

Great episode, I don’t think it pushed me to start it but I enjoyed the discussion.

I definitely ‘bounced off’ Echoes on the Game Cube and I still didn’t finish it on the Wii. I’m very keen to revisit it hopefully in the form of a Switch release as I found the Metroid Prime Remastered controls to be excellent. Also great show.
