When HSY came out it had a serious lighting issue. The shadows were way, way, way too dark. This was fixed in a patch. Said patch also made the lighting vomit green year round.

Here's a comparison of the snow in Copperdale and Brindleton Bay.

These are modified World files that fix this. I copied the lighting from Evergreen Harbor and put it in Copperdale.

Here's a quick Before/After:

And a couple other random shots:

And, of course, some non-green snow.

These files go in your SIMS4/EP12/WORLDS/AREAS folder. Backup the originals. Or don't. I'm not a cop.

Feel this may need a quick mention: the file path is in your Program Files, not under Documents, and if your game is installed via Steam, you need to find it under Steam games, not Electronic Arts ;) HTH (Hope this helps, I am not Helen the Hunter)

Me too, what is the full path to the Electronic Arts folder when loaded through the EA Launcher normally, i.e. not Steam. C:/ ???

Hope you figured it out - FYI that's different for everyone. You can find the path based on where you have it installed. If EA app, click the Sims 4 under installed games (on the left), click "Manage" then "View properties". Below "Install location" is your pathway. You can even open it up by clicking "Open folder". For me it's in G:/The Sims 4 because the G drive is where I install all my games. In Steam, click on the game in your library, click the gear icon to the right "Manage" and then "Browse local files" will open the folder for the installed game
