Lovestruck Counseling Buffs (Patreon)

Relationship Counseling is pretty cool. It has a lot of little chance cards and outcomes, and your Sims can get sentiments from it and recognize that they're going through therapy. Sometimes they have a hard time with it and don't appreciate the process at all.

This mod will apply bonuses for Counseling-related buffs. It is entirely possible the game already accounts for counseling in some ways when it comes to romantic satisfaction gain and decay but I could not find any direct references to it. So this mod may be "adding onto" what the game already does, but it doesn't seem to do this sort of thing.

Sims who have the hidden "In Therapy" buff, from being around their partner while in Counseling, will have .75x Relationship Satisfaction decay while it is active. It is not active for long and only active after being near your partner, so this one's a small benefit.

Sims who think "We need therapy!" will have 4x Satisfaction Decay while it is active.
Sims who have the "We Need More Therapy" buff will have 6x Satisfaction Decay while it is active. These are short buffs, so think of them as punishments for receiving them in the first place. 6x satisfaction decay for 4 hours means 24 hours worth of decay in those 4 hours, does that make sense? Basically your sim loses an extra day of decay for having this problem.

Sims who have the "Goal of..." buffs from participating in Counseling will have .25x Satisfaction Decay while it is active. There are four of these buffs and each one lasts 24 hours, so this is not insignificant slowdown for those days. This means sims actively working towards improving their relationship as a result of a successful session will have an easier time keeping satisfaction up.

Combine this mod with my Intense Relationship Decay mod and Cross-Pack Trait mods to really mix up your Sims' romantic satisfaction and love lives!
