Video Description: A freshly owned maxis-built retail store is opened. On a first test, only items on shelves are set for sale. When opened, customers immediately misbehave- forming social conversation groups, playing chess, reading books, even playing with guitars in the store. The store is closed. Items on counters and the floor are set for sale. The store is re-opened. Customers arrive, and behave- not one of them tries to use any items in the store, even a chair. They do not start conversations with anyone but the store owner.

Remove any and all retail-related mods you have installed- Mine included. To be safe, I'd prefer you do this without mods at all.

Play a retail store, on the latest patch.

Are you noticing...uh, literally everything working better? Sims actually looking at multiple objects instead of clustering in one spot? Sims actually shopping instead of having endless conversation?

IMPORTANT STEP:
-Try with ONLY items on a shelf set for sale. In this instance, customers seem to come in, converse, read, play on the ground, etc.
-Try with items on shelves for sale, AND ALSO items on the FLOOR or a COUNTER TOP on sale. In this instance, customers seem to come in and behave.

To reiterate: test any retail store but ONLY with items for sale on shelves. Then close the store, put something for sale on a floor or counter, and try again.

Can you confirm these are both happening as described? Please comment with your findings.

If you can recreate this situation, reply to this thread on the forums with this information: That it works as long as a countertop or floor item is for sale, and does not work otherwise.
