When your Sim has nothing to do, what do you tend to do with them? Maybe try to fulfill some Wants? Fill up some skills, work on work stuff...basically, just do a bunch of work?
What if instead, you could passively gain Satisfaction Points simply by doing things your Sim enjoys doing?
Now you can!
With this mod, your Sims will gain satisfaction points every 15 minutes whenever they're doing any of their Activity preferences. If you like Gardening, you'll gain Satisfaction while doing it. If you like Mischief, you'll gain Satisfaction while pranking people. If you like Rocket Science, you'll gain Satisfaction by building a rocket or exploring space!
I think this gives you a lot more excuses to do things for the sake of doing them, and not because you "need to" or because you "have to" for work. You're out and about at a venue and they have a Karaoke machine? Your Sim likes singing? Well now you're gonna be more likely to want to have them do Karaoke because even if their Fun is full, there's a benefit to doing it!
But wait, there's more!
You'll also LOSE Satisfaction points when doing things you dislike!
If you use Carl's Gameplay Overhaul, there is an option to gain or lose satisfaction points each day based on your sim's overall mood that day. This pairs wonderfully with this mod, letting you make up the difference on bad days!
This also applies to Music!
1. This behavior is active by merely being in the same room as music playing! You do not have to be actively listening to it. This is default behavior for music tastes!
2. THESE STACK! Listening to your favorite music while doing your favorite activities? Yes, you will get twice as many satisfaction points an hour. Listening to music you hate while doing something you love? One adds, one removes, and it will even out to 0.
And it even applies to Weather!
There are 4 Weather Types covered by this mod: Sun, Snow, Rain, and Wind. By default, Sims 4's Weather Preferences are not found in CAS. They are a friendly interaction, "Declare Weather Preferences", and you will need to declare a Love or a Hate for any of these weather types for their effect to take hold.
These preferences are accounted for whether your Sim is indoors or outdoors, so a rainy day is still a nice vibe to Sims who like rain, and still frustrating to Sims who would rather be out in the sun.
(IMPORTANT NOTE: These buffs do NOT have a mood effect. Your Sims have enough going on in their lives.)
I think this has very fun storytelling possibilities. Your sim who HATES snow just got a new job as a Salaryperson and is moving to Mt. Komorebi? Yeah, good luck with that in Winter.
Note: Due to the way weather transitions work, you may sometimes see Sims without these buffs even though it appears to be the correct weather. This is simply because the weather is transitioning and the Sims no longer believe it to be the previous weather type, or don't think it's the next weather type just yet. This is normal behavior. The game may also transition from Rain to a Thunderstorm and this will also confuse the Sims a bit sometimes. There's nothing I can really do about this. This is not a bug. It is just how the game handles hidden weather buffs.

Special Notes:
You'll gain Satisfaction, or lose it, every 15 minutes. For Music, it takes 30 minutes to kick in, and you'll gain every 30 minutes past that. This way you don't start plummeting for walking through a room with music playing, and you have to actively be doing an activity for the process to kick in. Point Loss is slower than Gain, BTW.
I no longer make Flavors of mods. You can edit this mod for personal use, if you'd like. Open the package with Sims 4 Studio.
Find this section in each of the Buffs- there's a Gain and Lose buff for Liking and Disliking each feature (Activity/Music/Weather). "Score Interval" is the amount of time between point gains/losses, and "Score Rate" is the amount gained/lost. You can adjust them to your liking to speed up or slow down the values.
