Update, 8/29/22- Socialize Flavor is now 2x social decay and not 4x. At 4x it was impossible (with my setup) to actually fill the bar at all OOPS

Whenever a Holiday shows up, it always catches me off guard. My sims are never prepared for it and it always ends up being more stress than anything. I've always wished time moved a little slower on holidays to compensate, but that breaks the game. So what can you do?

The Happy Holidays tradition will slow ALL Sims' motive decay while your Holiday is active!

Since this is a Holiday Tradition, that means it's entirely optional and not automatically assigned to any holiday situation. You can choose when and where it actually applies.

During a Happy Holiday, you'll get this moodlet:

While the moodlet is active your needs will drop much slower than normal, allowing time for food and fun! Please note that this also makes them FILL slower, so these activities can last longer. This also means that whatever motives are low when the holiday starts will take longer to fill, too. I think this mimics how when you're trying to get ready for a fun day it can be frustrating to feel like it's taking so long to shower, cook, etc.

Here's a comparison of my sim's needs at 100% at 6am when the holiday starts, and how they look at 6pm a full 12 hours later!

The tradition comes in various flavors, and these two screenshots represent the "Default" flavor (With additional motive decay altering mods active, your results may vary).

There is an actual goal under the hood for this tradition, but only because it's required for it to function properly. The goal is for sims to socialize. Accomplishing it doesn't affect the holiday outcome, and it will not show up in the holiday panel.

Only install one flavor! If there's demand for it I can make them separate traditions you can install all at once.

Default: Hygiene and Bladder are 5x slower, Energy and Comfort Motive are halved, everything else is left alone.

Never Weary: Hygiene, Bladder, Energy, and Comfort Motive are 5x slower.

No Pressure: Hygiene, Energy, Bladder, Hunger, and Comfort Motive are 5x slower.

Everything: All motives and Comfort Motive decay 5x slower.

Socialize: Everything including Comfort Motive but Hunger is 5x slower, Social and Fun drop 4x faster.

Half: All motive decay is halved, including Comfort Motive.
