My goal with my mods is to make things that feel like they slot right into the game. Part of that could mean active integration with other mods, so it feels like those mods were built to work with my content, same as they were built for the game.

So far, with Comfort Motive, I have one compatibility. Healthcare Redux by ADeepIndigo.

The compatibility is in the form of a buff when you take pain medicine. Taking it gives you a quick burst of comfort and a short (2 hour) moodlet effecting its decay speed, just like how drinking coffee works for Energy.

This is a simple addition and I saw a lot of positivity about it when I shared it. But I'm curious, do you expect, or want, more?

I want this motive to feel as true to the game as possible, and I worry I'd be over complicating it by going much deeper. I'm not trying to create a complex system, and I think further compatibility with other mods could risk making things too complex.

I would like to add affordance compatibility. Lock more options when your Sim is distressed, and raise comfort with more options from other mods.

Do you prefer a simple approach? Small scale integration that just sort of happens and has no further depth? Or major integration into whole entire systems?

My preference is the former. And I make my mods for me, first and foremost, so I will likely stick to the former. But at the same time, I don't use this mod I've already made a small integration with. So I'm open to adding things on behalf or other people when it makes sense. I would appreciate some insight here, including specific ideas for integration with this and other mods.
