Hoping to finish this soon, but I'm a bit unimpressed with the body shape for now.

Have you considered making the legs and arms a bit more proportional? No offense, but your characters (the anthropomorphic/humanoid ones) do tend to have rather long legs, which can make their arms look a tad undersized. If that's just your style, fine. Just my two cents
