The RFR Early Bird is back to bring RFR Insider+ supporters the show tonight, while everyone else has to wait until tomorrow morning...And it's a good one!

EXCLUSIVE! Thanks to a recent discovery, we present highlights from the very first-ever STAR WARS publicity tour featuring a rare interview with Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. Recorded live on the air in June 1977 in Chicago, it’s a funny and fascinating look-back at the STAR WARS phenomenon while it was still in its infancy. And you can only hear it here on RFR. Plus, we feature the latest in STAR WARS news including comments from D.B. Weiss about the STAR WARS trilogy he was developing along with his “Game of Thrones” production partner David Benioff, a Jake Lloyd update, and Ewan McGregor interview highlights with his wife, Hera Syndulla actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead (AHSOKA). Along with listener feedback and Star Wars In Pop Culture features “Young Sheldon”.

Absolutely amazing find! It's incredible that it survived and can be enjoyed for generations thanks to you! Can wait to listen to the full version on Patreon!

Wow, incredible listening to that old interview and the callers. That’s so awesome that you were able to transfer it to digital format and share it with everyone. Thanks again RFR! This brought up memories of 2015 when Jake was arrested 30 minutes from where I live after taking police on a high speed chase in South Carolina. That happened the same week as the church massacre in downtown Charleston. Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar also a married couple that worked together in Star Wars.

Loved the old clips! Makes you remember why we fell in love with all of this. Just watched the new Paul Simon documentary. Showed a clip of Carrie when the two got married. Man, she seemed extremely cute and fun. Only lasted six months. In her own words, not good wife material. But I bet it was a blast.

That interview is astonishing. So good. I get that you've sourced it Jimmy and put the work in to digitise it and clean it up, but to only ever hear it in full with a full access subscription upgrade is harsh. If I could afford it I would in a heartbeat. It's one of those nuggets of SW history that every fan should be celebrating, no? Can there be an exception to share it for the good of fandom? Love the show and will always support you guys to create great content -- this particular content though existed before. 🙏🏻

Have to agree with Jason it does feel like they just want new fans than pleasing old fans. You have two MAJOR characters Obi & Boba. No more fuel in the tank huh? Another white flag for Lucasfilm.

Jimmy, What an incredible gold mine you found. Fantastic commentary. I’m impressed with how much facility Mark, Harrison and Carrie had with the little details in the movie. Most actors and filmmakers today often seem to answer questions about their movies or TV shows with vague generalities. And until this episode, I hadn’t realized that Harrison (b. 1941) was older than George (b. 1944)!

Superb episode, Jimmy & Jason! Thank you for sharing those snippets from that recently discovered historic interview. As a fan of Star Wars since I originally saw it here in the UK early 1978, I truly learned some new facts! Anthony Daniels needs to give it a listen, so that he can hear the credit he was being given by his fellow cast members in 1977. Can’t wait to hear the rest of that 30 minute interview! Thanks for continuing to put out so much excellent Star Wars (and James Bond) content!

Wow that interview is absolutely fantastic!! It’s great hearing Mark geek out on everything SW. While listening to the younger callers, I couldn’t help but wonder what Blake would ask if he had the opportunity to Q&A with Mark, Carrie and Harrison 🤔. “A Gentleman in Moscow” is one of my all-time favorite books. Beautifully written about a code of conduct long forgotten. Ewan seems a perfect fit for the main character. If you have the time, I highly recommend reading the book rather than listening to an audio version. Great job as always, Jason and Jimmy….MTFBYA.

I know folks have been saying this alot, but wow! Great find! Thanks so much for sharing! Makes you wonder what else might be stashed away in radio archives....

Man this is what makes RFR the absolute best. Thank you guys for sharing that interview! What a cool thing for those of us who weren’t around back then.

Another perfect example of why Rebel Force Radio is #1. Thank you for that AMAZING audio. Chut Chut!

Like everyone else, I loved the interview clips! Simply amazing time capsule. Swank, I've been there on the data overage emails. I eventually made my boys pay for the overage charges. Eventually we got an unlimited plan which the boys were tankful for :)

I don't know when I learned this but I always remember it because my mom was born in 1943. So amazing to see Harrison suiting up as Indy at his age. Let's just say my mom couldn't do that :)
