As STAR WARS fans, our focus has switched from THE BAD BATCH to THE ACOLYTE as Disney+ continues to roll out new Star Wars tales. RFR V.I.P. Sean Wanty has been a little distracted and hasn't watched THE ACOLYTE yet, but at least he's seen THE BAD BATCH. Listen to find out what's been distracting Sean lately and hear what he thought about the adventures of Clone Force 99 along with his experiences at BATMAN in Concert and more!

Sorry! No full show video for this one!

Thanks for the shoutout, Sean! I heard it all the way from Japan, where I am vacationing! It’s always a special occasion to hear your conversations with Jimmy. I’m about halfway through and enjoyed hearing your stories of being a dad and Jimmy’s interesting synopsis of Night Shift, a film I missed. I’m up for my next Q&A in about another month, and haven’t settled on a topic yet, but as usual I’m sure your program will inspire mine. Enjoy the start of summer!

Jimmy's advice of "Just watch the content" is some of the best advice to enjoying Star Wars.

Thanks for the kind words, Ben! Enjoy your trip. Looking forward to hearing what you bring to the table in a month!

For sure. I try not to let myself get distracted by all the "sounds" around the SW content, if you follow me. I like listening to the RFR guys because they talk about the story and do the deep dives. Looking forward to getting back into it!

Man, Jimmy Mac is the man! This show dropped way faster than I expected! It's a good thing I was checking my email. Lol

Where’s Jim in the Batman costume ?

I will definitely wave if we pass over Arizona! On the way out the plane flew over Canada and Alaska!

Thanks, Sean! Btw, I also enjoyed both parts of Dune greatly. I agree that Dune seems to have inspired a lot in Star Wars both superficially and on a deep level.

The Dream Team is the movie with Michael Keaton as a mental patient. Peter Boyle & Christopher Lloyd are in it too.

I saw the Frames book at ROW as well and it’s pretty freaking amazing! Batman: Live in Concert is coming to San Diego during SDCC! However, I already have a ticket to Mosh Eisley which is on the same night. Great Q&A, Sean…and happy Father’s Day!

Great having you back Sean, fun conversation. I’ve never been a fan of Prince and didn’t like most of his music in Batman (I know I’m an outlier). I did like the song played when they are in the art gallery. I loved the instrumental music in the Batman movie! We got to play a medley of the score when I was in band and the trombones had some awesome parts. I loved playing that! I think Mr. Mom and Beetlejuice were Keaton’s big movies before he was cast in Batman. To say people weren’t thrilled with his casting would be an understatement. Turns out he was perfectly cast! Jim, great discussion on KK. I can’t believe some of the things she says. So frustrating…

Night Shift is great! Great to hear ya again Sean. Michael Keaton says “idea…. Feed the tuna mayo” so you don’t have to mix it etc….

Jared Cantor

Sean, if you're a fan then I would recommend the Soundtrack Show podcast episode (David w. Collins is the host) about the music of that Batman movie

Sean W. from Warsaw

Thanks Eric! It was nice catching up and basically just shooting the breeze for a change. No notes to follow! Lol

Oh yes! I've listened to many of his episodes, including that one! I miss that guy.... Thanks for the tip, all the same! I 'm such a big fan of that score I got this little known book on it years ago. I'll look it up when I can. It's a detailed breakdown of the whole score for that movie and parts of Batman Returns. Delves into thematic material and everything. Love stuff like that!

Great to hear Sean on the Q&A again! Always have a good time listening. Two more Keaton movies I enjoy are of course Mr. Mom and Gung Ho. Whenever they are on I always stop and watch.
