STAR WARS fans know exactly where certain scenes from the STAR WARS films were shot outside the studio walls. From the famous sites in Tunisia, to the frozen glaciers of Norway, to the redwood forests of Northern California, fans have made the pilgrimage to many of these places just to say "I was there". RFR V.I.P. Joe Dallas is a world traveler who has visited a few of these locations, thus influencing his latest list - "Top Ten STAR WARS Shooting Locations Joe Dallas May or May Not Have Visited". Plus, we discuss THE ACOLYTE, The Fonz, Q*bert and more!

Turtle Wars

Hope I can fit this in before tonight’s Acolyte episode.

Woo hoo! Joe Dallas! 🙌🏽

Cameron Gore

This isn't from first hand experience, but I have heard from more than one person that Japan is very accepting of foreigners using Google translate to talk to them. Hopefully that is actually true and can help anyone who wants to head out to Japan for the next Star Wars Convention!

Peter Beisser

Loved hearing about Joe's recent adventures around the world. Bummed I missed out on that potential late night with ya in NYC. Next time!

Sean W. from Warsaw

JOE DALLAS! He's back! Always wanted to go to one of the shooting sites. I haven't listened to the episode yet, but was the last shot of TROS shot at the classic Tunisian spot or...? Always wondered about that but been too leary to ask! Anyways, sounds like a great time as always to have Joe back again! I'd love to meet you one of these fine days, man!

Joe Dallas

I’m looking forward to meeting you too one of these days. I forget what city are you in?

Turtle Wars

Another fun-filled Q&A Joe! I really enjoyed the travel blog discussion. I have been very close or in the general vicinity to some of those localities but haven’t visited the actually filming sites.

Tanya S

What a fun Q&A! I live a couple hours drive from the Imperial Sand Dunes in Glamis but have yet to venture out there. I hate sand…*sigh* Thanks for sharing, Joe Dallas! 🎉

Scott St. Louis

Great show Joe! Years ago I was in Dubrovnik in Croatia and was excited that they used the location in the sequels! It was in the Last Jedi, where the fathier chase was…and I feel like I can finally admit that now that I am among friends.

Joe Dallas

Thanks! I actually loved that chase and I’d like to go there too! I have a fathier stuffed animal (I can admit that too among friends) and my daughter calls me fathier all the time!

Scott St. Louis

I don’t know if it counts, but we were in Ireland and could see Skellig Michael from the shore. (2018) It was definitely awesome to see and I could feel the Force and everything! Now I want a pulled porg sandwich with some blue milk!

Scott St. Louis

I also found a cool t-shirt on that trip. It has puffins with lightsabers and a poorly hand draw Vader with the caption: War on the Rock. I’ve got to post it here!

Eric from Phoenix

Another fun time hanging with the other J & J. Loved hearing about Joe’s fun summer plans. I totally did the complete 1,2,3,4,5,6…. Song after Jimmy mentioned it. I loved Sesame Street, Electric Company and Mr. Rogers when I was a little kid. Joe’s Gencarlo impression was pretty good and he’s very energetic at his panels. Got a little old when we saw him in May but more about that during my next Q and A. I love meeting everyone in CT but Matt was definitely special. Been listening to him for a long time and it was great to actually talk to him. Just wish we got a picture with him. Joe, I’m totally in for a trip to Hoth. No way Andrea would ever go (she can’t stand winter now). I used to pretend I was on Hoth whenever we got snow growing up in Iowa.

Great q and a Shame you couldn’t have got yourself my way would have been great to hear that laugh live!! If you ever over again which I am sure you will be there is quite a feast just north of London. We obviously have Elstree studios where they filmed the original 3. We then have Whippendell Woods in Watford which is used in the Gungan village. Outside of Star Wars but in the local area we have Knebworth House which was Wayne manor amongst other things Hatfield house from tomb raider and other things And Kuberik’s Childwickbury manor where his ex wife still lives and I think he filmed or at least thought out many of his classics. That’s an ambitious walk from my house to the perimeter, you can’t actually go into the property though. Re Leeds hope you tried some of their lovely beers up there. There is a great brewery in Keighley called Timothy Taylor their golden best, bolt maker and landlord beers are delicious. Hope you got to visit York and Harrogate Re Tunisia at swc london 23 there was firm called “Galaxy Tours” which looked like they have it all covered. They have an option with better tier hotels I think for any none Star Wars people in your family you may want to drag along. Re Villa Balbianello where did you stay when you were there? It’s on our list to do. Re places for Star Wars stuff in uk Forbidden planet in Shaftesbury avenue is prob the best comic/ toy store aside from that not a huge selection. Right I’m off to eat my perfectly sized portion of chips!!!! Cheers

Joe Dallas

This is awesome! Thank you for these ideas. I will keep this list for a future trip. I didn’t stay overnight at Lake Como, I just drove up and back from Venice in a day….
