Should be a great discussion. Looking forward to listening!

Luke

I’ve been curious as to the Freaks take on the acolyte. Tyler had some serious good thoughts after some of the after shows.

Turtle Wars

After digesting it for a few weeks now, and doing a rewatch, listening to how everyone either liked it or hated it, I continue to maintain that the Acolyte is one of my least favorite of the live action Disney SW. But there are definitely some things I enjoyed about it too. I also liked what Barry said about if there is a season 2 or 3 that it may lead to better things for the development of the story, particularly surrounding Plagueis and Qimir. I also didn’t feel invested or particularly interested in any of the characters by the end of the season. But if Hasbro ever puts out those transforming autopilot seat droids, I’ll definitely be getting a pair of those. I’m one of those people that doesn’t use social media other than Patreon, although I’m feeling like I’m going to have to finally break down and change that because without an account I can no longer scroll through public FB and IG pages. I remember the David C post, it was a hot one! You handled it how any responsible moderator would/should Jimmy. Whatever happened to the Droids animated/CGI? show they announced at that Disney investors thing years ago? “Collect all the variants, Vinyl Cape Covid”…that cracked me up!

Ben P. Stein

When Jimmy mentioned David Cross, and referred to the famous one, I said to myself, “Wow, Jimmy really knows his prog musicians!” because that’s also the name of the British violinist who played with King Crimson in the 70s! I completely missed the actually famous one on Arrested Development and HBO!

Adam Taylor

To be honest since the Disney buy out I (maybe subconsciously) digest this stuff like a buffet, just pick and choose little bits I like and don’t really see it as a full meal… so I really like episode 5 because there were lots of cool fights, but over all it was poorly written and I have no real connection to anyone but the stranger.

Gareth Williams

Wow David Cross really didn’t follow the ‘make em good’ rule.

What day(s) are you guys going to the Chicago expo?

RobO from ChicagO

Blah! I got tickets for a concert that night, if you guys end up going Saturday or Sunday let me know! I’m off that weekend.

Eric from Phoenix

Great point on the Droids series. I think they announced that at the same time they announced Tales of the Jedi. Wonder what happened to that show?

Scott St. Louis

Was that the one that was an ILM project? Would that have been part of the December 2020 project announcements?

Eric from Phoenix

Another fun “hang”. We always said we would go to Japan if Celebration ever returned but unfortunately Reed / Lucasfilm picked Easter weekend (not the first time). Andrea has Good Friday off and can’t take vacation before or after a holiday. We aren’t huge autograph or picture fans but I typically get a picture if I’m going to do something. The pricing at most cons has gotten ridiculous, however, more power to the people that want to get the interaction with a celebrity(s). I like what Tyler said about the Acolyte. Add what Jimmy and Kyle said to Tyler and you have my thoughts. I’m cautiously looking forward to Skeleton Crew. I’ve really enjoyed the new Spider-Man movies so hopeful the creators will go all in on good stories / characters versus their own personal baggage.
