THE MANDALORIAN’S Bo Katan has been a fan favorite since her original introduction in THE CLONE WARS, and Katee Sackhoff has been with the character since the beginning. Making her RFR debut, Katee joins us In The Cantina to talk all about her experiences in the STAR WARS universe via both animation and live-action. Starbuck! Forever will I crush on her. 😍

Eric from Phoenix

Awesome! Her panel last year at Phoenix Fan Fusion was great. I also loved her story about the costume and needed improvements (shewee).

Kenny

You guys are killing it with these cantinas lately!!!! Bravo 👏

Todd Owens

What a way to start the weekend! Let’s get it Star Wars in here!

Brian Robinson

Katee is always fun and I’ve been following all her podcasts over the years. You guys did great and another cool conversation. I still remember her exciting Instagram reveal a year before her return as Bo Katan on the Mandalorian was officially announced. I knew this role was the career changing exciting news she was hinting at.

RedDragon313

Bedridden today…thanks ‘rona! Firing this bad boy up right now! Looking forward to it!

Fantastic episode and great interview with Katee! My first memory of her was from 24 and then Battlestar Galactica. I'm with Eric from Phoenix wanting to see classic aliens. I've been waiting and waiting for years to see some more Amani and others from Jabba's palace and the Cantina. It's funny that the BJ Hughes thing came up as I just started listening to all of the Clone Wars round-tables and heard the first episode of them talking about him yesterday and then later on when they specifically asked Dave Filoni about it.

I agree with you Eric about needing more classic aliens and am baffled at the lack of them since the original trilogy, but more specifically in the Disney era.

Quinnton PNW

I can't wait to have a listen! One correction, though. You guys wrote Sean Levy, but his name is spelled Shawn.

I haven’t listened to the podcast yet but got a text letting me know the guys played my voicemail. Interested to hear what they say. I’ll find out while doing yard work tomorrow :)

Tanya S

Dang the cantina is poppin’ off!! 🍾🍾🍾

Valentin

Another great guest in the Cantina this week ! Come on Filoni we are waiting for you !

Dylan McGee

Whoa! You guys are crushing it with these guest appearances recently! RFR#1!

Mandy

Such a great show . I’ve been a fan of Katee ever since BSG. Thanks guys ❤️

Travis Brooks

Loved this episode! Great job guys. As a fan I really appreciate you landing this interview and having a good time! RFR #1!

Tyler Metz

All I’ll say is the 3rd Deadpool movie is the best. I’ve waited 24 years to see Hugh in the Classic Yellow Wolverine outfit and this movie pays off. The guy at Chicago Tribune is out of his EFFING mind or just doesn’t care about comic book movies. Way better than any of the woke garbage they’ve been putting out lately that’s clearly bombed at the box office. Now for the love of god just keep putting Hugh in that outfit! 🥹

Peter Beisser

Having the video feed of Katee made an awesome interview even cooler seeing her talk to the boys.! Worth the upgrade to All Access, kids. Nice job with landing this one, Jimmy. You guys knocked it out once again. 🤘

Only listened to the first 15 or so Eric from Phoenix made some super valid points. Cant wait for Katee interview We met her at London film and comic con pre Covid then at celebration in London and she was like “hey I’ve met you 2 before” to me and zillo junior. Made us feel super special. My son still talks about it regularly he crunches the odds of how many people she’s seen etc. These people must know we’re all just super geeks with an obsession for a fantasy world in space but they can “go thru the motions and earn a few quid signing and smiling” or go the extra mile and make us feel special and relevant. As per my profile pic the two best we’ve met at this are Ashley and Katee. Cheers lads. Glad the cantina is back open and in full swing. Look forward to listening the rest later this weekend. Cheers

Without doubt top of the charts is a kyuzo (embo) But put me in charge of Lucas film for a day and alongside your Rodian / Ithorian /duro / weequay and humans You get A selkath A kyuzo A Frenk A pendian A parwan A snivian A sakiyan And to add that cherry on the top of the cake add someone like Ben kenobi to play someone like perhaps Rako hardeen and maybe call the episode “the box” !!!!! It’s in the top 4 episodes of the entire Star Wars universe I just love “the box” episode and would just love to see it in live action Maybe with a token live action baby Zillo beast!!!! But forgetting my clone wars obsession for a minute Kyuzo/ parwan/ phendian would be my 3. I’d also love to see a live action mikkian twin either tiplee or tiplar. There’s too many to choose! NB probably spelt them all wrongly but hopefully you catch my drift, Cheers

Rob Strecker

Maybe a dumb question, but in the talk about the lego special coming up, the guys talked about Ahmed Best turning down resuming the role of Jar Jar for The Clone Wars cuz he would be paid scale. What does being paid scale mean?

Todd Owens
>>146172894

It means the actors are paid the minimum amount allowed by the union, usually the Screen Actors Guild. The pay varies by the type of acting work.

Sean W. from Warsaw

Just a friendly head's up, Jimmy: The description reads "DEADPOOD AND WOLVERINE." Thought you'd want to know!

David Mills

Great episode! Loved the interview with Katie. Looking forward to what is in store for the Mando characters in the upcoming film

Santi Nemo

Banger of an episode. I'm always impressed by how natural, relaxed, and professionally inquisitive you are when interviewing big stars like Kate. RFR #1!

Turtle Wars

Yes Eric, populate SW with more in-universe alien species. And while they’re at it, more droids too! That’s been one of my biggest complaints over the past decade. In my opinion, Shawn Levy is absolutely incorrect about there being only so many times that SW movies can revisit the same section of the timeline. There are obviously endless stories that can be told in every part of the SW timeline. I could never get tired of stories consisting of all the characters that populated episodes 1-6. Great interview with Katee! Thanks RFR!

MDM1138

Great interview with KS fellas! A+ from the Doc.

Eric from Phoenix

Great discussion guys and thanks for playing my voicemail. I’m hopeful about the Skeleton Crew show after seeing the trailer and the pictures from D23. We got a Wolfman and Gran :) I totally agree with Jimmy and would love to see some old EU stuff turned into animation. Just seems like such an obvious way to get new content that fans want on Disney+. Wasn’t a greebling a term used by the model makers and/or set design folks to talk about little real world bits added to ships / sets? That’s what I thought of when I heard the name of the character from the new Lego show. I got a great mental picture thinking about Jimmy cramming a Play-dough R2D2 into a young Billie Mac’s mouth. lol
