Content

Earlier this year, Phoenix Fan Fusion took place and RFR V.I.P. Eric from Phoenix was there! Eric walks us through the hallways of the Phoenix Convention Center for encounters with STAR WARS cosplayers and visits to panels featuring actors like Giancarlo Esposito, Dee Bradley Baker, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, and Alan Tudyk. Eric has audio highlights as he participated in the Q&A with each actor! Plus, memories from Star Wars Celebration 2015, yacht rock concerts and more!

I see that. The posts just keep on coming. Thanks for all of the extra patreon content.

RFR after hours with Eric from Phoenix and I am here for it! 👏🏼

GaryK from England

What a fantastic Q&A! I really enjoyed listening to the convention audio clips, with Alan Tudyk’s recollections of the differing approaches of Rogue One’s two directors being particularly insightful. Great work Eric & Jimmy!

Gareth Williams

Great show. I only get to UK conventions so it’s good to hear reports back from cons around the world.

Turtle Wars

Another awesome Q&A experience Eric. And a great follow up to our conversation on Sunday night. I had the Anthony Daniels line hustle experience at Celebration VI. I’ll post the photos in the latest episode chat. It’s interesting to see how much smaller the crowd is and how fewer smart phone cameras, or cameras in general, are being used compared to your photo. And mine was just 3 years prior to yours. Some of those cosplay photos were great. That Quint/Jaws one was particularly awesome. The trooper photo on the stairs in front of the convention was a Scuba trooper from Clone Wars and I think the one next was one of the pilot troopers from the CW episode Cat and Mouse with Admiral Trench (I just watched that episode recently).

Peter Beisser

No one nicer than my pal, Eric from Phoenix. Always a fun laid back conversation between these two guys. (Meg also loves Labryrinth! Top 5 flick for her). 👏🙌✌️

Thanks Peter! Meg has great taste :) Andrea is getting a fairly decent sized Labyrinth collection as a result of the toy shows we attend.

Thanks Cris! Good point on the phones. The Quint cosplay was amazing. Just wish I could’ve seen it and asked him how he built it. No surprise that you knew what all those troopers were :)

Matt Rashid

Hey hey! Can’t wait to listen, Eric!

Thanks Matt! Jimmy gives me a little bit of a hard time about being a rule follower and it reminded me of how he always tells you, “pretend like this is the first time I’ve ever played a Star Wars role playing game” during the RPG sessions :)

Brian Robinson

Great job Eric! This is exclusive content brought to Patreon members from an excellent Patreon VIP. Glad you can share these hobbies with your wife. My wife isn't into rock concerts or conventions, so I have to make those friend experiences.

Thanks for the very kind comments. Andrea is a great sport and also a fellow fan. We have a ton of fun!

Nice one Eric Cracking pod Still have 20 mins or so left for tomorrow morning but really enjoyed it so far. We were listening on our way back from a short trip. My wife sadly isn’t so supportive of Star Wars she suffers it here and there and has been to a few cons with us but mainly only to swoon over matt lanter or Hayden. Anyway my son and I gave her a big “cough” when you were all discussing sharing your fandom with your wife. She probably wasn’t listening but we smiled. Cheers

Joe Dallas

Great show as always Eric!

I had the line hustle experience there too with Anthony Daniels. I did catch him coming out of the bathroom once on his way back to the signing area in Anaheim. He was gracious and took a picture with me. In Chicago, he did a private signing downstairs and controlled that himself.

Kirk Leppert

What a fun, well-rounded conservation! It’s always a good day when you see a new episode featuring Eric from Phoenix!

Journey, DL and SM are in San Diego tomorrow night. Now I want to go!

Eric from Phoenix
>>147810352

Yep, I remember the private signing and for some reason we didn’t do that. I can’t remember why. He really is a ton of fun.

Marc Richard

Great episode Eric! Thanks for sharing your questions and answers. I’m a lifelong fan but my wife really only in the past year and a half. We did our first fanexpo in Toronto this year. It’s fun to be able to do stuff like this with your spouse. And as the sound guy at my church, it’s never the sound guys fault!

Labyrinth still has a huge fan base. I went to a Labyrinth convention last year that took place in the grounds of West Wycombe House where the opening scenes of the movie were filmed. My first outdoors convention on the hottest day of the year . Were a lot of great cosplays. Believe they are doing it again next year.

Yep, I think my wife saw information about that con a year or so ago. Maybe we can get there some day.

Super Q&A & well played Eric! 👏🏼 Quick question - am I missing something with the Q&As & main show being available on video too now? Can't seem to catch them at all. 🤔

Eric from Phoenix

Thanks for listening and glad you enjoyed it. Yep, there’s video available for both but you have to be at the all access tier to see the videos (I think that’s the correct tier).

RobO from ChicagO

Thanks for sharing the sound clips from the conventions Eric!

Eric, you're spot on! I was sure I'd been able to see some video previously. Obviously missed the change. Thanks for the heads-up! All the best Sir! MTFBWY.
