Yes. :( So why were they able to release Deadpool, Prey and Alien Romulus without damaging those franchises?

Joseph Tavano

Disney isn't bad at Star Wars necessarily. Sadly, LUCASFILM has become bad at Star Wars. I can't wait to listen to this episode. I hope better days are ahead.

Mike James

Glad to see paul back 👍🏻

Brian

Love that Paul is back. Looking forward to listening!

I just listened the RFR episode before going to work. I completely agree with everything that was discussed regarding The Hollywood Reporter article. It’s so great to hear Paul again. He hits the nail on the head. There needs to be a better head of Lucasfilm and better writers. Having a different opinion or criticism is normal. It’s stupid to label it as “toxic fandom”. Just my two cents. Thanks guys for the analysis and great show as usual! Chut chut & MTFBWY 🎧💻❤️👍🏻

Turtle Wars

Great episode guys! I enjoyed watching it last night. Lots of truth to everything that was said.

William Melay

Absolutely Fantastic show gents! Loved the early chat about peak clone wars and of course hearing Paul again after so long! Paul summed up the current issues we have so well. I could listen to you all breakdown the latest media for hours! This was a real treat this week, thanks to you both!

Peter Beisser

Glad to hear Paul's got a steady internet connection, and that we'll be getting his insights more often moving forward. Dude just gets it!

Fettmatic

Awesome episode. Welcome back, Paul. I can agree with Paul that KK is not the main problem. But, just like in a Coach in Football, any issues within the team. Despite, issues with the offense, defense or special teams. All questions will come to the Coach.

Blake Weaver

Always great to hear Paul. He’s a real gem. I find myself as a hardcore fan in the same place he’s in with his fandom. I’ve gotten rid of almost all my Star Wars toys/ art and replaced it with anime. Except for my Boba Fett shrine. Cause everyone needs one of those. RFR honestly is the one thing keeping my SW fandom alive and I’m someone who has x wings on my wedding ring. The announcement of that new Star Wars museum sounds rad. I think it should come to Orlando. Yes i live a hour from there but that’s not the point I swear. It being so close to Disney could bring in big crowds that are already surrounded by The Wars there.

Just finished listening, and was into the interview in a way I hadn't been in too long. I've been down in the slums with my fandom ever since the Acolyte. First time I've ever had this happen, and it sucks big time. Paul Bateman was speaking my language. Therapy for a Star Wars soul in purgatory, my friends! Been trying to focus on the things I've always loved, though, to get back to that sweet spot I've missed. But being worried about the future of SW given everything always brings me down again. Thanks for the great content again to lift me back up for a bit!

Great pod Always brill to hear any clone wars chat. Re clone wars v rebels… Clone wars is my peak Star Wars and as a body of work it’s immense…. But I think twilight of the apprentice from rebels top trumps any clone wars episodes. Not sure if that makes me a blinkered rebels fan or not. I love them both and bad batch and pretty much all the animated stuff apart from resistance. I like Paul’s vegetarian analogy will be sure to use that in the future. Cheers

Great episode! Glad to hear Paul back. Thoughtful and reasoned analysis and I’ll look forward to hopefully hearing him back again soon!

Matt Motter

Great episode! More Paul!! lol Thanks guys!

Scott St. Louis

Thank you guys for finally bringing us the Paul Bateman proof-of-life episode. Sincerely, top notch episode as always!

Jeff Holland

Oh man what a jam packed episode! Loved hearing Mr Bateman back on the show. It’s been far too long. And the Saga Museum (I think we should all pronounce “Saga” like GL does - “sah-GUH” 😆) news! WOW! I’ve already donated $100 - most definitely will be donating more over the next couple of years. I hope whenever they find a place for the museum that they offer fans/anyone to purchase a brick paver with our name on it - kind of like they do at new buildings/museums/etc. I’ve done that at other museums. Would love to see the Saga Museum in LA. Can you imagine going to a Celebration in Anaheim, with the GL museum (which according to the internet is supposed to open next year), the Saga Museum and Disney Land/Galaxy’s Edge?!?! I’d spend a couple of weeks there doing all of that! Anyways, great episode J and J!

Paul put into words, so eloquently, exactly how I have been feeling about LFL/Disney. Sadly, I think I’m going to stay away from anything new. Maybe I’ll come back, maybe I won’t. TBD. One thing I do know is I’m sticking with RFR! Chut Chut forever!

Frank Opsahl

Thanks Paul, I agree with everything.. Great show..

Eric from Phoenix

I’ve just gotten caught up with all things RFR. Great episode and what Paul said. He nailed it! Loved the “vegetarian” example. Spot on!
