RFR listeners have loved hearing Kid Blake call in to the live RFR Aftershows over the years. From his expert analysis of current STAR WARS streaming shows to his trivia showdown against "The Potty-Mouthed Prophet" F.J. DeSanto, we've loved our interactions with this impressive young man. Now, we really get a taste of "Blake's Takes" with a full episode of the Q&A dedicated to getting to know Kid Blake a little bit better and what it's like growing up as a STAR WARS fan in the 21st century!

Luke

The Kid… The Myth…. The RFR Legend….Blake!

Eric from Phoenix

Awesome! Can’t wait to listen. I’m officially two episodes behind with the weekly show coming soon too. Gotta pick up my game.

Todd Owens

WooHoo! Thank the maker! This will be a day long remembered!

Curtis in Omaha

Isn't he a little short for a Q&A...trooper?

Rob Strecker

wouldn't this be #221 not 121? LOL

Valentin

So cool to have a long conversation with a young Star Wars fan, I'll listen thursday.

GB7

This was just ... GOOD! So wholesome. Super insight from a younger SW fan. What a dude Blake is! Excellent convo guys, well played! 👏🏼

Peter Beisser

My pal Jimmy does an amazing job this episode keeping the conversation rolling with our favorite kid listener for 90 minutes in such a gentle and fun manner. Shows him at the peak of his SW conversational powers, but it also reveals just how good of a dude he really is, too, to take a young fan as seriously as he does.

Great to have Blake on! A tip for Jedi Survivor for Jimmy and Blake: you can adjust the difficulty on the game in the settings 😁 I actually enjoy playing it on the easiest mode because it’s still fun and I feel like its more realistic that Cal can easily dispence hoards of troopers as an experienced jedi

I even make an appearance near the end. All I was thinking is Blake makes this look easy.

He killed it, Brian. No dead air. You're doing well training the boy in the ways of the (Rebel)Force (Radio). 😉 And let's get you on a Q&A!

Sean W. from Warsaw

Can't wait to hear THIS convo! Was not expecting to see something this cool in my email today. 😎

Scott St. Louis

Great to go behind the scenes with Kid Blake. I love that this episode was made possible by the generosity of an RFR VIP. This is what I love about our community here on Patreon—great people who love to share Star Wars. Thank you Jimmy and the anonymous donor who made a great episode for all of us to enjoy together!

Wouldn't it be great if J&J used this as a promo for patreon? "You've heard him on 'Blake's Take' during the after shows, but who is Blake and how deep does his fandom really go? Join patreon today and find out in this exclusive Q&A with the kid who has taken RFR listeners hearts, Blake ". Agreed Scott, great community we have.

He actually placed the Darth Maul from SDCC behind him for the Q/A but it fell over. He uses the background from the box to make a diorama.

Darth Beard

What a great interview! I was so surprised & happy to see the notification pop up this morning, Blake is such a nice kid, long may he stay that way! You’re doing a great job Brian! Thanks to the anon donor!

Lol, same. He was going to start with a deep Chut Chut like you and Jimmy joked about but got going and forgot.

Joe Dallas

“There’s Been An Awakening!” Great job Blake!

Mike James

Loved it! Well done blake! We will watch your career with great intrest!

zillobeast

I want my money back!!! This is no q and a No talk of Led Zeppelin or Malort! Only joking brilliant pod. What a superstar pure Star Wars excellence from a true vip. Top respect for whoever gifted Blake his opportunity. If anyone is feeling low and needs a pick me up listen to Blake talking about his Ewok hunt on battle front 2! Top work as ever by Jimmy Cheers Blake there are nerds all over the world who regularly sing “Blake’s take!” Cheers

Matt Motter

Great job Blake! Thanks Jimmy! Blake definitely has my vote to inherit RFR after Jason and Jimmy retire!

Tyler Page

White Sox getting roasted by kid Blake even. I can’t escape it! This listen is an all timer.

Diana Orr

If Tyler is Obi Wan to Jimmy Mac’s Qui-Gon, then Blake is most definitely Anakin. We will watch his career with great interest.

Turtle Wars

Great job Blake (and Brian)! Lots of fun listening to/watching this one! It was great getting to “meet you” and hear more about both of your fandoms in this long Q&A format. And thanks anonymous and Jimmy for making it happen.

Mai G Rashid

Someone else also said this ---Great suggestion I totally agree--- Jason and Jimmy Mack this should be a bonus RFR episode to all listeners to promote patreon also it's just a really cool episode ... Thanks Jimmy and anonymous donor and Blake and Brian!

You know what's sad? I could barely make it through the first game on easiest difficulty.... And I'm a lifelong gamer! Man, that game made me wanna chuck my mouse across the room. 😆

Sean W. from Warsaw

Took some extra time to finally listen to this. Great job Blake! It's great to get to know ya a little better. Like so many have said, thanks to the anonymous one who let you on! Also, Battlefront 2's Ewok Hunt mode is one of the most fun ideas for a SW game. Really loved it. I was so bummed when the player base just...disappeared on the PC (which is what I used to play it on). Not sure if it ever came back. But fond memories of that mode! I would also recommend the original Battlefront 2 done back when Episode 3 came out. Still one of the best SW games I've ever played.

Mark

Great Q&A. Congratulations Blake…you nailed it!

Eric from Phoenix

I had a ton of fun listening. Blake is a natural!

Thanks, Eric from Phoenix! I will pass that along to him. That will mean a lot to him. He remembers your positive comments from way back.
