Return of the Jedi’s Salacious Crumb was a crowd pleaser from the moment we first saw him onscreen in 1983. This week on RFR, we talk to the man behind the laughter, actor Mark Dodson joins us IN THE CANTINA to talk all-things-Crumb, courtesy of our pal Kevin Liell. With Darth Maul’s surprise return to the Saga in SOLO, we review some vintage Ray Park audio from our archives to find some uncanny foresight. In news headlines, Bob Iger reveals new information about the status of the upcoming Disney Streaming Service and what Star Wars content will be included...And what won’t. Plus, new info about Star Wars Resistance. Todd Fisher, Carrie’s brother, shared his thoughts and feelings, along with a little info, about unused footage of his sister being used in Star Wars Episode IX. We listen to highlights of his comments along with a recent Simon Pegg interview where he expresses remorse for some of his past harsh criticisms of the Star Wars prequels and Jar Jar Binks.

WooHoo! I'll get to listen to some before company comes over!

I would be perfectly fine with a 10 episode saga!

I don't think they'll release all 10 episodes at once. I think they're gonna pull a CBS All Access (like they did with Star Trek Discovery) and drop them once a week...so people can't pay for a month then drop after they're finished. This way, they get 3 months of subscriptions out of folks.

My son and I were discussing this yesterday. We took note of that, but it really seems like most streaming services offer full seasons at once. Binging seems to be preferred. I HOPE we get all 10 at once. -JMac

I don't want them all at once because I have always loved review shows. If they all drop at once, there is no real reason to do a review show for each episode.

This was a fantastic episode of RFR. I don't think other podcasts on their best day do anything half as good as this show.

Agree! I didn’t think a “Salacious Crumb” interview would be so captivating...awesome.

Yeah I’m hoping for the 10 episode arc, not 10 independent episodes like X-Files or sitcoms do it.

Jimmy Mac - Glad you brought up the “Sports Fans” analogy. As odd as it is to say, I think SW fans could learn some general lessons from sports fans (and certainly sports fans behave badly too). But if you are a fan, you are a fan through thick and thin. It doesn’t mean you accept everything (I was yelling at Jonny Lester a lot yesterday), but you are still a fan. I also think there are some great baseball fan comparisons because in baseball the very best teams (like the 2016 Cubbies) still lose 1/3 of their games. Sometimes they even go 108 years without winning it all. I think we as SW fans needs to be okay with a lot more “swing and misses” as more and content comes out. It won’t be for everyone and it may not all be great. But SW is still #1 in my book and I’m hoping for another home run or even a grand slam in the future. But for every HR there are are a lot of strikeouts, popups, double plays, etc. Even at their worst I loved going to Wrigley and watching the Cubs. Even at its worst I’ll still love seeing new SW.

You can do it. I listen to a podcast that does weekly reviews for Stranger Things. One host binges and the other watches week to week... So, it's definitely doable. 😊
