Breaking News! Cassian Andor will be the featured character in an upcoming live-action Star Wars streaming series starring Diego Luna. Bob Iger made the big announcement this week and the RFR microphones were there. Hear highlights from the conference call along with new info about the Disney+ Steaming App and THE MANDALORIAN. So, I'm definitely interested in the whole Darth Vader connection with Kylo, but even when he looks into the Darth Melty Mask, asking to be shown the power of the Dark Side again, there can be *no way* that its actually Vader that he is communing with. Anakin would not be showing Kylo the Dark Side! Right? I mean, this almost has to be Snoke (or some other Sith entity). Just like Snoke "helped" to facilitate his connection with Rey, it could be Snoke just screwing with Kylo's mind more. The Dark Side is all about manipulation of its adherents, including young Anakin being deceived by Palpatine, just like you guys talked about in the show. Anyway, great stuff. Awesome show!

Good theory. Now that Snoke is dead (spoiler alert), whom will Kylo be connecting with? Anakin? Or is this where Force ghost Luke comes in?

I'm not sure that is for sure, is it? I mean, we might know that he's going to try to reach out for guidance in IX, but he hasn't (so far as I remember) tried to reach out post-snoke-snuff. I only mean that it isn't a sure thing that Kylo has previously been in contact with Vader, since Vader is "dead" and only Anakin now remains. Thus, whoever Kylo has been "communing" with can't truly be Vader. It would be interesting if, when Kylo reaches out, Luke intercepts (the call? lol). I don't see that playing out too well, since Kylo is all anti-history. I think Kylo has definitely been in contact with some Dark Force individual while communing through the mask of Vader, but its not necessarily Vader.

Hmmm yah, it definitely makes sense that Snoke could have been manipulating Kylo, communicating with him, allowing Kylo to believe it was Vader. However at first, thanks to Chuck Wendig...forgive me for once again bringing up that name, but there's actually some interesting things in the Aftermath interludes...anyways in some of the interludes a group called the Acolytes of the Beyond come in contact with dark side artifacts, that when worn or used grant them visions and even possess them. That's what I was thinking was going on with Vader's helmet. Some part of Vader's dark side presence or something is still connected to the helmet. So that first time when Kylo picked up the helmet he had a vision. He wants his grandfather to show him the power of the dark side again. After reading the last few Vader comics with Lord Momin's helmet, I'm starting to believe more and more that dark side artifacts have this power. They're doubling down on it. Maybe....

Thanks for all that insight. As I was writing earlier, I was thinking about the discussion of Momin's helmet. I'm not settled on all that. I believe it's a slightly different situation. Considering that Momin died in the Dark Side. If Vader's lingering Dark Side essence could communicate and give orders that would be pretty significant. I suppose that it's possible that the memories of Vader's Dark Side activities would be bound to some of his significant artifacts, and by touching them, a force sensitive user would be linked to view those events as through Vader's eyes (or whatnot). I would just argue that you aren't actually communing with or receiving orders from Vader himself. Such power bound in objects as they are in the Star Wars universe, a Sith Lord would be smart to utilize and manipulate the perception of communing to their own ends. We'll see. I'm stoked. Thanks again!

So in regards to Vader's Castle. Could it be a possible dark side version of a gateway to pull padme out of time. Just like ezra did to Ahsoka in Rebels? Not saying it's good storytelling but it's something that's been established.
