We all are feeling the loss of Stan Lee like we lost a family member. Stan's contributions to comic books and the creation of iconic superheroes cannot be underestimated. And of course, his place in Star Wars history was well-noted as being the guy who gave the green light to creating Marvel Star Wars comics back in 1977.

I found this rare old Stan Lee interview in my archives dating back to my days as a production director/show producer at CBS Radio in Chicago. It's an interesting conversation with Stan and Terry at WCKG FM. I am not heard on this recording. Host Stan Lawrence is a Chicago radio vet who is sadly no longer regularly active in broadcasting. Co-host Terry Armour was a Chicago journalist/broadcaster, best known for his work writing with the Chicago Sun-Times. Terry, sadly, is no longer with us. We lost him at a very young age and he was a good friend of mine. Hearing his voice on this recording brings fond memories of him. He was a great guy, who loved comic books and Star Wars. I miss him dearly. And, yes, I already miss Stan "The Man" Lee.

This is most-likely from 2006, because the purpose of the appearance was to promote Stan's reality TV show Who Wants to Be a Superhero?, which debuted that year. Hope you enjoy hearing this rare audio which I am happy to present to this great community.

Thank you for posting this. There was another great interview, I think on WGN going back to the later 90's. A male/female co-host show. Was Wendy a co-host back then? It was special as my friend, who recently passed away, called in and really had some good questions. Sadly we lost the recording we had of that one, but it was another great Stan Lee interview on Chicago radio I hope resurfaces.
