RFR Flashback: Warwick Davis: Celebration II (Patreon)

Here’s a pic I just found while cleaning up in the Star Wars Room. Taken by Billy Mac at Star Wars Celebration in Indianapolis in 2002, this photo captures a great moment from that weekend. Prior to the doors opening up to the public, we snuck into the autograph hall to have some audio fun with the celebrities as they were rolling in for the day, many with coffee in hand. Warwick was kind enough to play along with me in a really stupid radio bit for CBS Radio and the Kevin Matthews Show. People, like Steve McMichael from the Chicago Bears, used to say Kevin Matthews looked a lot like Willow. And he kinda did so it became a running joke. So I had Warwick, “Willow” himself, react like he was fed up for being constantly mistaken as Kevin Matthews! The bit was played on WCKG FM in Chicago and I was ridiculed on the air (as usual) for being a hardcore Star Wars fan. But I don’t care...Having the opportunity to hang a little bit with Warwick was worth it. Despite his fame, he’s a genuine and very pleasant person and this pic brings back great memories from that day.
