Content

Enjoy this remastered encore presentation of our Darth Plagueis Roundtable, which originally aired shortly after the release of STAR WARS: DARTH PLAGUEIS, the amazing Expanded Universe origin tale of Palpatine's master...And Palpatine himself. We review some of the many events in the novel and discuss broader issues like the balance of The Force and the nature behind the origin of Anakin Skywalker...Were the Sith experiments directly responsible for the birth of the future Chosen One? Listen to hear what we think! Joining us are Kyle Newman, Paul Bateman and Del Rey editor for Star Wars books, Erich Schoeneweiss.

Wow! I’ve been scrolling back through the catalogue and I can’t wait to listen to this one! Love this book and I listen to the audiobook as often as possible. Thanks for doing this one.

John Riley

Thank you thank you thank you!!

Adam Taylor

Oh man I forgot about this!

Scott Armstrong

I have never heard this. Can't wait to jump in after work!

This was damn good. Good SW discussion/banter. I recall it got me stoked and, not being an EU guy, I grabbed audio book version (my first audio book) and quite enjoyed 'reading' a book that way. So well produced. Never happens if I hadn't listened to this show back in the day.

YESSSSSSSS!! I love this book and I love this roundtable discussion. I finally gave up a couple years ago trying to find it on the old feed, so glad you added it here- and perfect timing, I just finished the audio book a few weeks ago!

Nick Whenham

Thanks so much for posting. I loved this the first time around. My favourite book examined by the best! Cheers!

Diana Orr

Great deep dive, thank you. Now I’m gonna have to re-read the book.

Steven Jimenez

Thanks for clearing up the pronunciation !! 😂😂

I can't believe I missed this the first time around. Great conversation. This is def one of my favorite "legends" novels and will always be canon to me. It's fantastic. It adds a ton to the prequels and really makes you look at them in a different light. AND it made me like midichlorians *gasp* lol. I've loved every novel by James Luceno. He really has a grasp on this universe and has a knack for tying things together, filling in the blanks and making everything make sense.

Just catching up on some of the back catalogue fellas! This was a quite tremendous conversation. Great effort dissecting a really fantastic novel. Kyle … let’s just say he’s certainly opinionated & passionate! 🤣 More roundtables required! Keep up the great work!
