Carrie Fisher: Princess Leia Was No Damsel in Distress (Patreon)

In an exclusive interview with us in Chicago, Carrie Fisher spoke candidly about her family, Star Wars and her status as a pop culture icon. It was her first time to return to Chicago since Dan Ackroyd proposed to her during the shooting of The Blues Brothers. She tells us she wanted Harrison Ford to sing for her death tribute at The Oscars and she shoots down the idea that Leia was a damsel in distress. Carrie also talks about her book “Wishful Drinking”, Jodie Foster’s audition for Leia, the Star Wars Prequels, Mark Hamill and more.  (C2E2 Chicago 4/17/10)
