We look back at The Phantom Menace with the actor who brought Captain Panaka to life, Hugh Quarshie. We sat down with Hugh during rare US appearance at Star Wars Fan Days III. Hugh gave us insight into his character and explains why Capt. Panaka only appeared in the first film of the trilogy. Plus, he talks about working with Liam Neeson, Natalie Portman and George Lucas, the challenges of working in Tunisia, and more.

What a fantastic interview. He had some amazing insights. Definitely a loss he wasn't in episodes 2 and 3

Great interview! This is the first time I've heard Hugh talk about his time on Episode 1, so thanks for sharing! I'm really pleased to see the love for the Prequels is only strengthening with time. Hugh sure is going to experience this at Celebration. I bet he'll be blown away by the response he gets.
