I announced I would release this on Monday, but then I ran into some time issues and got pulled unexpectedly to the new Tarantino film, which I strongly recommend. So thanks for your patience and I hope you like the show! - JMac

We take a deep dive into the new "Star Wars Land" at Disneyland as Jimmy Mac has returned from STAR WARS: GALAXY'S EDGE with a full report. From Oga's Cantina to Savi's Workshop to the cockpit of The Millennium Falcon, we cover it all with Billy Mac sitting in. What about the much-reported attendance numbers at the park? We get Jimmy's perspective on the crowds and wait times, along with in-depth reviews of the drinks, food, merch, sights, sounds and overall vibe. Plus, we follow up on our investigative report: Is the Star Tours ride still featuring Lucas-Era content? All this plus Hyperspace Mountain and Swank on a beach!

Looking forward to hearing your review. I’ll be at the Florida on in Sept!

Bianca from Michigan

Excellent timing for me - had no power for almost 24 hours - so now I can listen at work today. 😊

Javier Solorzano

Thanks Jimmy…. A bit off subject, but....is there a way you could make a review of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood available?

Yancy Evans

Awesome episode Jimmy. And it was great running into you at the Park!

Travis Morgan

Looking forward to this show, especially after hearing the latest Q&A all about the trip planning! And to echo what Jimmy Mac said, go see "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood"! Brad Pitt and Leo DiCaprioa are dynamite.

Jackie Elwer-Bernal

In Jason's defense, I immediately thought of BSG when you described the octagonal menu as well (minute 25:08).

Hillbilly

Great review!!! Will definitely be heading to youtube for your videos!

Rebel Force Radio

Kinda hard for me to wrap my head around the film. And I don't want to spoil anything. Maybe down the road I will record movie reviews for things outside Star Wars...Is that something you'd be interested in hearing? - JMac

Rebel Force Radio

If you walk out of that film and you didn't love their characters and performances, then you were watching with eyes and ears closed.

Javier Solorzano

Absolutely!!.....we know about your "Bond-Casts"....& being that I also loved "...Hollywood" I would very much like to hear your insightful commentary (as it usually is). In general, I think most, if not all, Patreon Members get as much (if not more) from Jason's & your commentary & humor as we do SW content, interviews & news. Don't know how that would work w/ your "business model" RE: RFR, but the only reason I became a Patreon Member was to hear more of the banter between Jason & you.

The first year for Hyperspace Mountain was 2015. It's not something they do year round, just occasionally.

Yancy Evans

Yup it was a special kickoff for a Start Wars themed makeover of Tomorrowland called "Seasons of the Force" which ran until April 2016. They brought it back again in 2017 I believe.

Scott Armstrong

Yancy! I'm listening to them talk about you right now! Drinks at 9am? Really? (Just kidding, I'm guilty too)

John Riley

Me too Jackie. I recall watching a BSG behind-the-scenes show and the shape of paper in the BSG world was an inside joke about how the production crew always had to “cut corners” to meet budgets for sets.

Jared Cantor

Great show. I always appreciate hearing your insights and hearing perspectives that include more than just mere gushing adoration.

Eddie Baker

Great episode. Nice to hear you had a good time. Also nice to hear of some of the parks shortcomings. I'm personally torn about Galaxy's Edge. I, for the most part, like the sequel trilogy films but I'm not sure I care about a Star Wars park that lacks anything from the OT or PT. The build your own lightsaber experience and the Falcon ride sound cool but nothing else really grabs me.

Barry Harmon

The review really made me want to visit Galaxy's Edge, and not wait until Anaheim 2020. But it also got the wheels turning in my head about how to expand and improve the park, and I thought up some pretty wild ideas.

My BSG find was the "Cybot Galactica" packaging on the C-3P0 toy for sale there. Odd choice of name. I assume it's referencing a droid factory?

Lance Dobersek

Glad you enjoyed it. My impression also was that they need aliens walking around and more droids strolling though. That will help with the experience. One of the things I do miss about setting up a world in this timeline is there are no Jedi. Instead of snarky Stormtroopers with blasters, I'd rather encounter Jedi. The Jedi Training show they had was perfect for kids and just a great show. Something positive the kids can be involved in. Even now they could incorporate secret Jedi training sessions that Rey rounds up the kids for.

“It’s your brother’s....light saber” — I’m still laughing at that one!
