Loved that Undercover Boss segment. I want to be a pilot like Luke Skywalker lol

Excited for Clone Wars. Fun hearing you guys go down memory lane this episode about the show and folks you met along the way.

Great show, gents! But...I feel like I didn't get as well-rounded of an answer to my voice mail as I thought! Lol It's deep stuff. And my wife and I really do believe that Luke plays an integral role in Kylo Ren's mindset. When you think about it, Luke is virtually responsible for shattering Ben Solo's whole worldview of what was good, right? Luke was probably THE example his parents raised him to follow, no different than how we ourselves see Luke as a role model. So to me, when he thought Luke was gonna kill him in his sleep, that was the end of everything Ben ever thought was good, right? So what would have gone on in his soul when he was redeemed? I feel like the betrayal he would have felt would be too much to get over, right? You can't just brush that off! It's one thing to feel sorry for what he did to his parents. It's another entirely to get over Luke's betrayal. Just how DO you get over something like that? In forgiving himself for the murder of Han, did he also bring himself to forgive Luke somehow? I just don't know. Any further thoughts?

Btw, just to clarify up front, I am super thankful you guys played my voicemail! It's very hard to get one on, so I just wanted to say how grateful I am...but that I was a little disappointed the conversation didn't go further! Lol Especially when Jason said you could do a whole show on this topic. But yes, any further thoughts? (I also welcome any thoughts and insight from anyone else, too, of course!)

Let's go back to 1977 and the time at which the original Star Wars came out. Vietnam, Watergate, The Oil Crisis, The Dismissal (Australia) - George Lucas dropped this film which was entirely "uncynical", was old fashioned good and evil and unabashed adventure on an unsuspecting public who didn't realise they need to escape when they did. Fast forward to 2019 - the age of #Metoo, Outrage Culture, Extreme Politics (On Both Sides) - The Rise Of Skywalker dropped a similar - timeless - story of good and evil that a majority of post modern dipshits couldn't understand the nuances of Campbellian myth making on the platform of calling for a gender fluid, multi-species, multi-sexed hero who was in touch with zir fucking feelings. Star Wars is beyond that post modern bullshit.

Thanks guys! Can't wait! It's such an interesting, deep and spiritual topic. Jimmy, you mentioned that if for his redemption Kylo had bigger fish to fry than Luke, but...what's a bigger fish than Luke? Lol Just some food for thought. ;)

Oh, I forgot to ask: What's the name of that Star Wars comic that touches on Luke and Ben's past? I don't really keep up with the comics too much.

Bottom line: The movie just wasn't that good. My wife liked it. That's how I know.

Great show! Question-When are we going to get Billy Mac back on the show? I want to hear his comments on TROS. I feel disappointed by TROS and the sequel trilogy overall. I want to hear if Billy's opinion is the same as the opening night in Ohio!

We need to make this happen soon. The plan was for him to sit in on a TROS commentary but we need to coordinate.
