"Victory and Death"

Almost 12 years since STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS debuted in movie theaters, the series comes to a spine-tingling conclusion with The Siege of Mandalore Part IV: Victory and Death. Joining us to break it all down are two core members of the RFR Roundtable family, Transformers producer F.J. DeSanto and Fanboys director Kyle Newman. I missed the majority of this live-chat, because I was watching Handmaid’s Tale with my wife. 😬 SOOOO looking forward to listening to this!

Great discussion last night. Jimmy Mac, you made me wish the ghost of Nute Gunray was in this episode!

Blake Weaver

All the cursing was a little off putting and I STRONGLY disagree with the Vader comments given what Lucas did with the character in the OT but overall loved the discussion. Also felt it was a little too nitpicky with a lot. I feel this arc was given a lot of heart from Dave F in honor of Lucas and deserved more love. Especially given the sequel trilogy hot mess we’ve got. But great job boys as always. RFR forever.

Great show guys. The only question I had was why was Vader holding Ahsokas light saber at the end and you guys answered that question Brilliantly.

Steven Jimenez

Loved hearing from the guys,, like Jason said Paul would have been the cherry on top but seriously amazing way to end the series I was really hoping there wasn’t some type of bad blood or something between Kyle and the guys and there wasn’t!!! Thanks for all the years of round tables for this show!!!!

So one tiny detail that seemed off, and who am I to question Filoni, but I wouldn’t expect the clones to refer to our buddy Sheev as Darth Sidious. I figured he’d still be the chancellor in that power structure when he gives order 66 and still go by Palpatine. I never thought his Sith name would be a public thing. Maybe it’s included in the chip activation?

Commander Bly

I’m a vet. I can tell you that there are plenty of things an active duty or former service member cannot, and will not divulge to the general public. Back in-universe, all Palps would have to do is order the clones not to share that information (or to include that as a part of Order 66). Done. They simply wouldn’t. I agree with you on being surprised at that, though. I would say it was exposition to make it 100% clear to audience members that the clones are now on the bad guy’s team.

Jonathan Jones

So great to hear from Kyle and FJ. Let’s do this again soon!

Any reason not to do more round tables about this arc? (Like what was done after TFA came out). Get Paul and the “Master of the Goliverse”.
