Start the weekend early with this RFR Early Bird Release, only for Patreon!

We look forward towards Jimmy Mac's upcoming appearance on MeTV's Collector's Call with show host Lisa Whelchel. We've known Lisa for years as Blair from The Facts Of Life, and now she is visiting collectors all over the country to spotlight them on "Collector's Call". Jimmy Mac is appearing on the show as a "Star Wars Expert" as Lisa tours the Eric Pfeifer's collection. His Star Wars stash takes up his whole house! Eric also joins us for a preview of what to expect when the show premieres this weekend. Dave Filoni appeared on Disney+ to explain how the death of Qui-Gon Jinn resonated all the way through the Saga to Return of the Jedi. We listen to highlights and provide our own analysis. Plus, lots of Mandalorian season 2 casting and production updates.

Looking forward to listening to this during our 2.5 hour drive to move my son home from college. Thank you!

Blake Weaver

Man what a episode! The interview was fun and the latter half of the show was the hardcore star wars discussion I can’t get enough of! So amazing.

Eric from Phoenix

Jimmy Mac, any way to get the video from your MeTv show from “alternative” sources? We have YouTube TV and we don’t get MeTV. I also don’t have an antenna either. Any suggestions?

Not sure right now. They don't make the episodes available on demand for some weird reason. Sucks. But if I can get a copy to post here, I'll do it.

Eric from Phoenix

Thanks JMac. Hopefully something works out so those of us who can’t watch it live / dvr can see it later.

Speaking of Luke and Vader, and their father/son salvation in Return of the Jedi, if The Force Awakens is like 30 years or so (?) after Episode VI, does that mean that Palpatine had cloned his "son" (the one who goes on to father Rey) maybe 10 years before Episode VI? And Palpatine was generally dismissive and disapproving of his son, so is that the context for his surprise at the strength of the bond of Vader and Luke, and how he can't foresee their connection, their love, and is ultimately destroyed (at least temporarily) by it? Also, awesome show!

HEY HEY DROID IS READAYYYY!!!! Love the babu freak mascot!

Solid episode this week. Great discussion at the end as Blake said above. And let's hope the guys never gets around to the Art of TROS. It's become a good running gag.

Agreed Peter. Great episode and loved the stuff with Filoni. Can’t wait for the new season of The Mandalorian.

Josh Bennett-Tomlin

Great show as always! The tension that’s building for this Jimmy Mac art of TROS review is intense. Cheers guys

Kirk Leppert

What a great episode of Collector’s Call!! Really enjoying it. Wish we were seeing JMac’s collection instead though!

Eric from Phoenix

Now I just need someone to drop the episode on YouTube:). Don’t get meTv on YouTube TV.

Kenny Wymore

You guys mentioned getting some Ewok garb for Lisa Whelchel’s dog. I picked up a Ewok outfit for my dog at PetSmart two years ago for Halloween. Maybe they will have it out again this year. Want too bad a fit for something off the shelf.

I agree Kirk. Was really impressed with the in-depth nature of the discussion on the Collector's Call episode. Wasn't goofy or super basic. Lisa was respectful and educated. Liked that they didn't make Eric come off wacky or strange. JMac you came off really well, too. Nice job.

I had a zoom with the in-laws this past sunday night and missed it. I can't find it anywhere. I'd be interested, if you can find a link.
