I don’t think the scene with Palpatine and Ezra was a vision. I believe Palps was communicating via a hologram with a filter on it so that Ezra would see him in his pre-scarred-and-deformed state. Edit: Confirmed. It’s at 18:18 of the series finale. The scene takes place aboard the Chimera, where the portion of theJedi temple that contained the gateway had been relocated. After Ezra boarded the ship in surrender (to save the rest of the group), Thrawn introduced him to Palps via hologram.

There’s a lot of canon out there to keep straight and sometimes it blends together. It ain’t like the old days when all we had to remember was a handful of movies ... 😄

I feel like the bald Palpatine was just a mock up because you would only see his face and they probably just needed to model the skull to shape the hood around it lol I think Palps still had hair all through the OT
