Bryce Dallas Harper did a really good job on this episode! I kid I kid, but it was a great episode.

Josh Carter

This episode kinda blew my mind. First time I literally could not do an immediate rewatch. Looks like I have just enough time to watch again before the aftershow starts, can't wait!

Ashley Bray

Great show, guys! Always enjoy nerding with everyone. MTFBWY!

Martin Labak

Great show and a badass episode in my opinion. Anybody else noticed that Mon Cal mechanic rocking that H&M knitted sweater?? :D

Peter Bouwman

Shoutout from The Netherlands! Great show guys!

I haven’t been able to listen to the after show yet, but I’m on my second watch and I gotta wonder if our guy Jimmy has a problem with the way this episode looks. Very dark like Solo.

Eric from Phoenix

Great show guys and loved having Big Steve back. I’ve only watched the chapter once and it wasn’t my favorite. Maybe I’ll feel different after multiple viewings? My issue was the fact Bo-Katan was in it and it looks like Ahsoka will be in a future episode. I love Ahsoka and she was my favorite new character in all of the Clone Wars but I didn’t need to see her in the Mandalorian. I figured this would happen based on the darksaber showing up last season so I wasn’t surprised. If they don’t spend much time on Ahsoka or Bo-Katan’s stories and they just come in and out of the Mando’s story then I’m sure I’ll be fine with it.

I wanted to make a second post representing my wife. She is a huge Star Wars fan. She’s been to all the North American celebrations except one, seen all of the new movies (prequel to present) on opening night and absolutely loves the Mandalorian. Did I say she loves The Mandalorian? This has been her favorite Star Wars since the OT and she can’t wait to watch each week. Last night, she was very disappointed. She had no clue who Bo-Katan was or why she was important to the story (she knows who Ahsoka is). Her direct quote last night was, “I used to be part of the group and now I’m not. I’m so disappointed”. Peter B. hit on this topic last night in chat and my wife is one of the people he was talking about. I’m guessing there are others out there too. Hopefully they don’t focus the story on characters from the animated series and keep the show assessable for all Star Wars fans.

Brian Robinson

I don’t know, fans of Star Wars need to be aware of what’s going on in other parts of the Star Wars world. Fans of MCU usually don’t only watch the main “Avengers” movies. They know there are things they are missing in the character/ensemble movies. This show is better than all the Disney Star Wars movies combined. They should remake the sequel trilogy with Jon Favreau in charge.

Dominique Garant

Too bad for the phone lines! Was Jimmy distracted by something? He was a bit less chatty and a bit aloof by moments 😉 Love you guys. And Steve, who probably doesn’t remember me but I was on his show once.

Peter Beisser

With Favreau writing, I have a feeling he'll try to make this mythology digestible for regular folk who never watched the animation. More so than others. I'm not sure the weather is too bad in Phoenix during the winter, Eric. But you guys (and others out there) might have some time to do a binge or at least a sampling of some of those key Mando-related episodes with their significant others. My wife is gonna watch some Clone Wars for the first time. 🤓

Eric from Phoenix

Peter, great feedback and I’ve already went out and found a bunch of episodes that would explain what she needs to know. The winters are terrible here so I’m sure she’ll have time to watch. Can’t tonight as we’ll be in the pool. 😁

None whatsoever. There are dark scenes where appropriate, but I find the look, lighting and cinematography in every ep of The Mandalorian to be consistent with each other and the Lucas era films, regardless of director. IMO Solo looks like it was shot underwater with flashlights.

Rebel Force Radio

I had to do some explaining to my family too. Wendy was in the dark and Michael was trying to put the pieces together in his head. Remember, he was a little kid when he originally watched The Clone Wars with me and hasn't really done a rewatch since, so his memories are a little fuzzy.

Steven M DuBrey

Solo is excessive with how “muddy” the picture is, and I get that this was a gloomy planet. I guess it was his armor that seemed off to me. Early on I was turned off by the chrome look. Then after we finished the first season I got it: the creative team is showing off the real light effects of the Volume. Watching this episode it looked very grey to me(the armor). I guess I expect more reflection at this point no matter what the surroundings are. I would agree that it’s consistent though. Very much like the cantina in the opening scene of the very first ep., that was pretty dark. None of this is a complaint, so much as an observation and curiosity.

Martin Labak

My wife and I got a kick out of it. Fits the whole fishing village/port theme though.
