JMac, I hope you were able to perform your audio magic with some of the calls from last night?!

DarthMosk

Absolute fan service speculation: I want Mando and the gang defeated and about to be killed by Moff Gideon, I want Baby Yoda’s message to have gotten through, I want a green lightsaber to break down a door, and I want the last lines of season 2 to be: “I’m Luke Skywalker. I’m here to rescue you.”

Shawn Grooms

Awesome timing!, this audio is so much better, thx!

I haven't listened to more than 30 minutes in yet, but I had to comment. I think you guys are probably right in speculating about Fett as more an anti-hero with a code. But at the same time, I still want him to stay the villain! I'm honestly hoping that after he helps Mando that he and Fennec part ways with the Mando and Fett says something like, "But this doesn't make us friends. I'm a hunter and I held up my end of the bargain. But one day you may be on the other end of my blaster." Or something like that. Maybe he won't hunt Mandos. But something to confirm he's still a bad guy.

Will be bored as hell on Friday nights when the season is over and there's no more live shows.

Eric from Phoenix

Oh my gosh, I love it! I want to see Luke too but the problem with Luke is he would overshadow everyone else. Also, I don’t see Mark coming back just for a cameo. But as Mark says, “It’s possible”.

Eric from Phoenix

Couldn’t agree more. Love the series and the after show is so much fun. Great insight from the panelists and the folks on the chat are awesome!

Eric from Phoenix

I agree that Boba Fett isn’t “good” but he’s following the honor code which I think makes sense. Is it possible Fett brings along help (Dengar :) and the help takes Boba out at the end to get to the child? Do Fett and Fenec stay true to the code like they say they will do? I’m not sure but can’t wait to find out.

Eric from Phoenix

After rewatching the chapter I noticed that Benjamin A. Burtt is one of the sound effects editors on the show. No clue how I missed this before but cool to see Ben Burtt’s son following in his footsteps. Also, we have the Star Wars Lego advent calendar and guess what the figure was for today? The Razor Crest. Coincidence?

Andrew

It might have been a brief 34 minute episode, but they packed a lot in it.

Sean W. from Warsaw

I personally think Fett's more in it for the bounty. All we've ever known him as is a cold blooded bounty hunter. I don't trust him. He used to work personally for Vader, after all and tried to murder Mace Windu as a kid! This dude isn't even an anti-hero. So I think he was using the Mango lineage bit as a ploy. It's possible it's true. But like he said, he has no code but his own and looks out for no one but himself. I don't really think his lineage actually matters to him. I guess we'll see!

Steven M DuBrey

Boy howdy you could see it was killing poor Jimmy to have those audio problems.

Jared Cantor

Great episode and great show, minus the audio. I'd recommend ditching Skype and maybe going with Uberconference. Not sure how that would work on live call in show though....

Jared Cantor

Obviously the rumors are that we're getting a Fett series and this seems purposely designed to launch it (whether as something that comes before or after the events in Mandalorian, or maybe concurrently). Rodriguez knocked it out of the park, so maybe we've found our Fett series director.

Blake Weaver

The Mandalorian has turned into everything I could ever want it to be. This is ultimate Star Wars. #fettlives

Josh Carter

I loved the plot and story of this episode, but personally I would say Rodríguez brought nothing new to the table other than his same old tricks from the early 90's. Slow motion and double speed visuals to make it look like characters are hitting harder and fighting faster. I couldn't stand it but I'm glad that I seem to be the only one.

Steve Gilmore

I’m starting to think Din doesn’t make it to season 3.

Adam from Indy

I think Adam hit on this, and others have previously, what if the show continues, but with a different main Mandalorian. In other words, what if the next season of Mando IS the Boba Fett series?

Steven M DuBrey

I know this will probably be an unpopular opinion, but I greatly prefer the old round table format to the call shows. I don’t feel you’re reaching the depths you used to when Jason would have a whole rundown of questions for the table. Maybe that’s a side effect of the busy man having lil kiddos though. I can relate to that.

Sean W. from Warsaw

I've wanted to say as much for some time myself, honestly.... It's no offense to the RFR guys or to any of the callers. But after hearing how deep the conversations of old got, it's hard to do it any other way. The call-in format has its own perks, for sure, because you just never know who you're gonna get. But honestly a 30 second to minute call can only do so much. But I guess the RFR folks still give us good answers to Jason's questions, too, but just not focused exclusively on them, and It does feel cool to be a part of that in some way. It's a give and take, for sure. But keep up the good work, gents! Always a good time!

Sean W. from Warsaw

I don't know about this talk of having Fett take over.... I think a big part of the appeal of this show is getting to know a brand new character. They marketed it as such from the outset. I think it would be a betrayal of trust to do a complete 180 and go with someone all too familiar. Din Jarric has so much potential as a character still to explore. I want to see him come to grips more with there being more to the Mandalorian ways than he has ever known before, and struggle with what it means to be perhaps wrong or too sheltered and close-minded, educated to think only a certain way when there clearly is so much more out there to consider. He was trained to think of the Jedi as sorcerors. Now that he's seeing something more, would he feel differently going back to his own kind? Perhaps a sense of betrayal? The character has put down too many deep roots to just upend the story. And this is to say nothing of the comeraderie with Karga, Dune, etc, amongst other things related to only Din.

Trevor Hallam

Umm, wow. I was thinking “No it’d be cool to have Ezra be the one, or Ahsoka in some way. Definitely not Luke.” Having read your comment.... LUKE ALL THE WAY!!
