Luke Skywalker wasn’t exactly feeling like himself in the Sequel Trilogy. What was his deal? Longtime listener and RFR VIP Dustin Bagley joins Jimmy Mac to discuss how Luke could evolve as he appears in future STAR WARS stories. Our chat about the sequels cover everything from Sith knives to lost opportunities. We also look back at the early days for our podcasts, Star Wars conventions, and we learn why Dustin’s occupation reminds JMac of a certain room on the Death Star.

Jimmy has never been more right when he said Rise of Skywalker is the most forgettable Star Ward movie. It's not the worst, but I have no desire to see it again. I saw it once and the theater and that's it.

Hah here we go Great job dustin!!! Confession- I like the sequel movies individually I'd say. I barely revisit them. More like rogue one and solo, but mostly ot, Mando, tcw and rebels!

Man, haven't listened to this one yet but I can't wait to delve into it. Any discussion about this topic is always so tense, and for good reasons. It's something I've been thinking for a long time about exploring a bit in a Q&A but have never felt really adequate about how to approach it. Hopefully this conversation adds some fuel to that fire!

I think I've landed in a place where I can concede that there's memorable and good stuff throughout all the ST films; good elements that weren't executed the best; and then I try to run with that premise.

Yeah im not saying there weren't good things about it. I can out out the theater really liking it, and I still do. But there just doesn't seem to be any draw for me to see it again. Aside from a few scenes, mainly ones in the trailer, I barely remember much of it. It's very much like a non-MCU comic movie in that way for me. Like the Venom movie for example. I saw it, I liked it, but I'll be damned if I could tell you what it was about.

I laughed when Jimmy talked about the lightspeed tracking convo with Finn and Rose. He's right! I've never been able to explain it but I also do not like it. It's like the back-and-forth and finishing of sentences does not feel like Star Wars.

Yeah, the modern dialogue of TLJ clashes pretty significantly with the rest of the saga. It's very off beat.

What I remember about TRoS is the return of Palps. I have ALL of the FC and RFR episodes on my hard drive (due to my Billy Dee project)
