Missed the show since I had to work today but great to listen later. Man I hated this episode I’m not gonna lie. And Omega being the center of reason for the Bad Batch is making her annoying. But I’m hoping the last 3 episodes pay off. But one good thing I’ll say is the shows world building is still top notch.

This isn't one of my favorite episodes either, but as far as character building it does reveal more than many give it credit for. The most obvious being that it does seal the deal, now, that there is a heart and soul to Sid towards the Bad Batch and vice versa. There's real loyalty between the two, now, which may not have been there before, so that Sid, in many ways, is more a part of the group, now. Going a little deeper, though, we see that Sid actually has a heart when she tries to plead with the Pike to not kill the crime boss. She's revealed to not necessarily be someone who's heartless even to those who have wronged her. She could easily have shown glee at anticipating his death, and later disappointment when he wasn't killed. Easily. But she didn't. This could be interpreted in different ways. Maybe Omega has rubbed off on her a bit with her own level of compassion she shows. Maybe in some way the Force, which flows through every one, has helped Sid see a different side to life through Omega. Who knows? Bottom line, though, is that we spend a lot more time with Sid herself than we ever have in any episode before. It's basically a feature episode for her. And it pays off in some interesting ways that cannot help but affect the Bad Batch going forward. Maybe now they'll actually stay loyal to her in tough times and vice versa when the world comes crashing down around them, and she won't sell them out even when she could. She becomes a more well rounded character, now, rather than just a supporting, background character who's just an employer. That's something that I can appreciate, for sure.

This was the only episode of the season that I had a negative reaction too. The Martez sisters had ruined spice shipments and Pykes for me. Listening to the show kind of turned me around on it. Good fun with the GL and Filoni impressions and Ziro is always good for laughs.

This last episode and whole season actually have had me thinking about how could the clones turn into Automatons after order 66… I think there is a bigger picture that we aren’t seeing just yet and hopefully will pay off with the end of this series. I have been rewatching S4:7-9 episodes with General Kroll. These clones aren’t just mindless obedient soldiers, they have the ability to think creatively and each came up with their own name, etc…. Though there seemed to be some who were blindly obedient… is it possible that as clone generations were produced they modified their obedience to be better or was it because of their Jedi General that they behaved the way they did? Skywalker was someone who played outside the box, so he would expect the sake of his men unlike Krell who stated he played by the book. Kenobi had his own style and so on… So, Bad Batch have that creativity in their specialties and Omega as an unaltered clone has strategic and emotional intelligence abilities that surpass her brothers. We are seeing creative thinking staying with some clones, Tup, Howser, etc. I sure hope we get to find out…

In fact S4:10 deals with a similar issue Howser dealt with.

I would argue that it's probably a combo of the influence of the Jedi and the clones' own nature as humans that they inherit individuality. Without the Jedi and the Force I think it would have been slower, for sure, and maybe without nearly as strong a payoff, but I think it would have happened. (Makes me wonder what other clone armies in the past were like....) I don't think the Emperor fully understood what he was dealing with in making clones. Like so much else, he underestimated them.

As for Jimmy's funny comments on the clones' dream-like state during the execution of Order 66, wasn't this addressed a bit with both Wrecker and even Rex? I could have sworn they said something about how they tried to fight it but couldn't, but that it was something like a dream or something where part of their mind was blocked or something.
