I think Disney+ may be releasing new series episodes on Wednesdays so they don’t compete with the opening days of its theatrical releases. At least that was the theory on why its Marvel shows started having Wednesday release dates, so that their audiences didn’t have to choose between the launch of new series episodes and the opening days of Disney movies such as Black Widow, Free Guy and Shang-Chi.

When the “news” came out that Rangers was not in active production and Jon was writing Mando season 3, and Dave writing Ahsoka, my thought has always been that “active production” just meant that the guys behind the series were working on other projects currently. Now is Gina attached? Was she to begin with? I have no idea, I think a lot of people assumed a lot, from just a few words. 🤷‍♂️

Rebel Force Radio

If it's on the slate, it's in active production. Even a show like LANDO which may be a couple years away has been in active production since last year. Variety said it was not in production and now THR says it is...Either someone is wrong or something changed.

Two points: 1 - Im an analyst with a major eCommerce platform - the amount of money that FunkoPop generates on our site is astronomical. It dwarfs some categories' overall totals. That's 1 brand driving more sales than whole categories. Think its time to accept FunkoPop is a big deal. Not saying anyone has to like them, but there is a reason why Funko gets the love and its purely about numbers. 2- No business should ever model it self after Topps and the baseball card industry of the 90s'. It was an oversaturated time that lead to what Jim spoke to on the show - implosion. Heck it was so bad the cards produced during the period are basically valueless. I dont know what the right answer is but the trading card baseball way is not the way.

hah id love to hear more on why Jason doesnt like re-tellings of the OT. Its not like its trying to replace the OT or telling you what the right version is or isnt. I'd def be happy to see other takes as long as its presented like Visions. Also with Ezra - it was more than him looking/feeling like Aladdin. The series premier had direct references to Aladdin's opening musical scene. here is some redditor's call outs on the references (yeah they are way to into hah) https://www.reddit.com/r/disney/comments/2l6bpf/aladdin_in_space_aka_star_wars_rebels/

Check out for new The Mandalorian figures during Hascon on 10/22 & 23.

Yeah, Jim Hill mentioned that on his Marvel Us Disney podcast. With their first overlap during Loki, they didn’t want people to have to choose between the “free” episode of Loki or $30 extra for Black Widow…both on Disney+.

Solid show this week! So, let's put the LEGO SW people in charge of the next trilogy of live action flicks. See what they could do. Why not? And, Swank, almost all of the Marvel film cast returned to voice their characters in "Marvel Studios What If?"

2022 is going to be a LIT STAR WARS YEAR! Can't wait for all of the D+ shows :D

I hate the Wednesday release and I’m hoping RFR live show will change to Friday. This is purely from a schedule standpoint for me :)

Couldn’t agree more about baseball cards. Also, Jimmy and I briefly talked about Funko in my last VIP discussion. Not something I collect but the price point is very obtainable for most people. Also, they get an A+ for volume, thoroughness and cool exclusives.

I have so much fun watching the LEGO specials. No pressure and the creators get Star Wars and how to reference all of the little details for a laugh.

Great show guys. We love the Goldbergs and I died laughing at the Star Wars reference last week. I loved the LEGO special. Great 80’s references and just overall fun.

I love the Friday releases as well. I could wait until Friday but then I'd miss the immediacy of the awesome RFR aftershows! (BTW, Eric, I recently traveled to a high school friend's wedding in California and I had a stopover in Phoenix. And I was thinking "I'm in Eric in Phoenix territory!)
