Aphra or no? Paul Bateman has come through with this info: The girl is Sophie Thatcher playing a character called “Drash”...

Described in the casting call as "British, cool, self-assured, and in need of refinement. A faithful member of a street crew, Drash is willing to question authority."

She's the sidekick to "Skad an 18-24-year-old man. Skad is described as British, edgy, fit, and resilient. Skad is willing to question authority." An offer went out to actor Jordan Bolger.

Joan Jett in Star Wars?

Would be cool to see live action Aphra especially mixed into the seedy underworld scenario but I have to imagine they'd cast an Asian actress and we'd see the arm tattoos

Eric from Phoenix

I saw her in the new trailer that dropped today. For the love of all that is good an holly, please do not make her or her side kick the focus of this series. Please, please have them written well like the characters that joined The Mandalorian. Crossing my fingers.

Doesn’t remind me of Aphra at all, other than she’s wearing a vest..probably just a new character, they tend to have those in shows lol

“British, cool, self-assured, and in need of refinement…willing to question authority." Kinda sounds like Mr. Bateman. 😃

I may be wrong because I don’t follow her stupid comic line at all but isn’t she more in the timeline of the OT? I know this show is close in time but I don’t think it’s her. I PRAY it’s not. I’m not one to complain about special effects on tv either but that scene with her on that speeder looked terrible. I’m starting to get worried a tad.

Giving me the vibes of that episode in season 1 with that bounty hunter looking for Fennec. Too real world.
