Ah yeah a Joe Dallas episode....let's go!

Eric from Phoenix

Joe “Freaking” Dallas! Can’t wait to listen. Seeing Q-Bert makes me angry. Not at Joe but how terrible I was at that game. Really only played on my Atari.

Blake Weaver

There ain’t no party like a Joe Dallas party.

Sean W. from Warsaw

JOE DALLAS! Good to see you back again! Can't wait to listen. :D

Jared Cantor

Hysterical laughing started with Joe's statement that he did some math haha. Love the Joe episodes!!

Peter Beisser

I honestly love the dynamic between theses two. Fun stuff.

Todd “Suds” Sedlacek

The Mr. Ed game was one of my favorite bits back in the day. I had no idea it’s birth was an accident.

Carlos Ortega

Joe Dallas cracks me up every time!

Davin

Love it when Joe Dallas hosts! I saw Primus play A Farewell to Kings back in October. Loved that, too! Enjoy the show, Joe!

Joe Dallas

Sweet! Have you seen Rush? I’ve seen them 4 times and I play a Steinberger Bass like Geddy (who actually played my bass and Sting at the NAMM convention in 84) before my sister bought it and gave it to me when I was 14!

Antonio from NJ

I could listen to an entire episode of jmac and Joe D just laughing at each other

Ben Roloff

Man, Joe dropping names like Les Claypool, Pat Metheny, Jacob Collier, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock…if I’m ever in the Keys, we’ve GOT to hang!

Antonio from NJ

Amen I think the coolest thing about our group is how so many of us are deep into music also! Whenever it happens, the Patreon hang out is going to be epic!

Davin

I never got to see them live, and it bums me out everyday! But your bass sounds awesome! My wife let me name our son after Neil (he was born a month after Neil passed), and we have a guinea pig named Geddy Lee, so I'm doing okay 😝

Joey

More of this please 👍

Jarchewa

We need a weekly show of Joe Dallas and Jimmy Mac!

James Lawrence

Trimming some seeds of the palm trees in my back yard today - all I could think was how much easier it would be with a light sabre.

Rob Strecker

"wooden looking" brings back memories LOL Obi-Wan's wooden nuts.

ANDREW KNUDSON

Great show Man! If you and your daughter dress up as boba and fennec you should post a photo!

Eric from Phoenix

Great show guys! Got to listen while we made the drive to Aneheim for Disneyland. I laughed a ton. When you talked about a lightsaber cutting through the earth over and over it made me think about the alien blood in the Alien movies.

Sean W. from Warsaw

Just finished listening. Fun show! Man, all the talk about arcade games made.me remember a good one I had totally forgotten about. At my local theater back home there used to be this great Star Wars arcade game that was a first person sort of shooter, real high end 3D (for the time, especially) that went through key moments of the original trilogy, like the Death Star trench run, battle of Hoth, Endor, etc. You couldn't control where you were going at all, so it was all programmed in, but it let you shoot at enemies as a Rebel X-wing or trooper, and you had to be really fast on the trigger to make it through all the waves of enemies. But as cool as all of that was, by far the coolest part was playing as Luke Skywalker and duelling Darth Vader! Again, all programmed, but you had to be the one in control of the saber to parry and strike back. Very, very challenging to time it right! And it looked really good. I remember I was so inspired by that game that I actually made a lightsaber for an art class project out of pvc pipes. Took several days to make the handle (and a LOT of pvc plastic shavings all in my hair and everywhere in the yard!) But I made the saber and I practiced those moves in the game as a kid all the time! Lol I was such a dork. I'd love to see that game again somewhere.

Sean W. from Warsaw

Also, that picture Jimmy has of you for your episode is priceless, Joe! Could this be what you're like when getting super frustrated with Q-bert...? Lol Those two characters show up to ruin another of Joe's games and he starts going all Tusken on the thing!

Joe Dallas

Hey Sean! I’m going to play Q-Bert all of next week on my Spring Break (and also some of those other games Jimmy mentioned)! I think maybe I will take my Gaffi stick- good idea!

Jeff Holland

Same. Just sounds like a couple of guys shooting the shit, laughing, etc. I'd like to see what happens when alcohol is added into the equation. :)

Jeff Holland

As always, very fun episode to listen to w/ Joe D. & JMac. Loved the randomness of topics discussed (i.e. each of your mouse stories. LOL!). In my head canon, I always assumed that since Yoda was strong in the Force his connection to the Force prolonged his life. Kinda like John Coffey in The Green Mile. And perhaps non-Force using species (of whatever Yoda is) didn't live as long. Joe D - if you cosplay as Tusken Boba, don't forget to get some fake extremely white teeth. LOL! I loved your suggestion of having a mod crew follow you around. Great idea! Ha! I love Primus. I remember seeing them and Fishbone in concert back in the 90s. Great show! Fun fact: Les Claypool auditioned to be Metallica's bass player (after Cliff Burton died) in '86. Obv, he didn't get the gig. :)

Joe Dallas

Thanks man- I didn’t know that about Les. You must have been at Lollapalooza? I was at that show too in Florida.

Jeff Holland

Actually, i saw Primus and Fishbone in a small venue (The Boathouse in Norfolk, VA) back in … I wanna say… 1992-1994 range. Crazy show. Loved Primus. Didn’t know much about Fishbone back then but their lead singer Angelo climbed the rafters at The Boathouse. Great show!

Sean W. from Warsaw

I wish a had a funny mouse story, but unfortunately I've been dealing with the little buggers too much. Give me time and I may think it's funny in years to come!

Sean W. from Warsaw

Wait a sec, I may have one that's kind funny. When we first started having mouse problems in our new house a couple years ago, we caught the first one and naively assumed, since we didn't see anymore signs, that it was the only one in our house. So instead of killing it I decided to go release it somewhere far from anyone's homes, and the only place around me without going way out of my way was the local cemetery. But I caught the thing at night and didn't want to keep it trapped in there in all night long. So I decided to go to the cemetery that night! Had a lantern and everything. Looked like some weirdo straight out of a Frankenstein movie, man! I was honestly worried the cops might show up and start asking questions.... lol! (It'd be my luck the mouse would talk and say he was kidnapped, but that's neither here nor there.)

Mark Becker

Yo where’s that Tem lookalike picture??

Joe Dallas

Cover of the episode- is me looking like me being Tem, but in that picture I’m not doing the crazy eyeball thing…. When I do that it’s pretty close!

Alex Doud

Finally got to this one! Another great discussion. I can't believe JMac mentioned the Mammoth Music Mart! That was a great time back in the day. Found some music treasures on the cheap!
