I just wanted the RFR Patreon community know that I have a preview copy of Shadow of The Sith and I'm about 20 percent thru. My ability to review has been embargoed until a week before the release late in June, but I can tell you that it's been pretty entertaining thus far. It identifies the names of Rey's mom and dad (aka Palps son), gives background on Ochi from Bestoon, and features Lando and Luke as they hunt for Exegol. I think if you like The Rise of Skywalker and the Marvel comics, you'll enjoy this book. This is a step in the right direction for Lucas Publishing.  - JMac

I am really excited for this one. Just finished Brotherhood, and rather enjoyed it

Super news JMac! It’s a book I’m really looking forward to tackling. Should be some tasty story lines & I’d hoped it would contain some pieces of info that help us better understand the ST. Cheers for the update! 👍🏼

John Williams

Excellent news JM. More of the SW Book discussion pls!!! I know there are a lot of fans hungry for this content. Thanks dude!

Bardy

Glad you're enjoying it! Might give it a read later down the line

Orange County Carlos

Can’t wait! I give all Star Wars a chance. Trying to wrap up Brotherhood before next week.

JR Eaton

Looking forward to that, I have about 40 pages left in Brotherhood and I have enjoyed that as well. 2 new authors to the SW roster, seems like they were good picks.

Ben P. Stein

Great news. Glad to hear it.

Jeremy Grimes

That’s good news! I finished the audiobook of Brotherhood last night and found it to be an enjoyable listen! Hopefully there will be more quality books in the future!

Pistol Pete

Sounds like I’m hearing the same things. I also enjoyed the brotherhood audio and could tell the author was a fan of the Revenge of the Sith Novelization by Stover. A favorite of mine. Looking forward to the audiobook of this.

Actually gonna give this one a read. I really hated the sequels but I’m more than ok with diving into these novels if they can flesh things out and tell a good story with classic characters. I’ve been diving into EU novels for the first time recently because publishing with Lucasfilm didn’t grab me at all the last few years. Happy to see some of these new books are a step in the right direction.

Ryan Parker

I approve of any book coverage! Glad to hear you are enjoying this one!

Michael Castle

Great, thanks for sharing your review! Love to see more of your thoughts like this on other publishing in the future

Rebel Force Radio

My thoughts are everything has been awful in publishing since Disney took over. I'm not a fan of a single novel since Disney wiped out the EU. Not saying the old EU was perfect, but the story telling wasn't so directionless. This new book at least provides a direction and has a purpose. All the others have been a crapfest.

Michael Castle

Right. I’ve never read any of the old EU but out of what I’ve read of the new novels I’ve only liked 3 maybe 4. Most are not great.
