“Here we go again”, as Threepio once famously said.  Another rumored STAR WARS film is in the works, this one coming from Damon Lindelof and targeting a December 2025 release.  So naturally, we are skeptical. ANDOR is bringing us STAR WARS stories told without all the typical bells and whistles we expect. We discuss the pros and cons. Faverau and Filoni revealed some MANDALORIAN, AHSOKA, and SKELETON CREW  production updates to ET and we review the highlights, along with Hayden Christensen’s acceptance speech at the 2022 Saturn Awards. Plus, a new version of the NARKINA PRISON BLUES and more!

Great show guys. Was looking forward to you all covering the recent news. Filoni needs to be in charge of all stories and we need someone more competent than Kathleen and her minions to be making films. Any other normal job and a person with her position would have been let go. Also with Andor just still hearing how Gilroy doesn’t care about the wars keeps me from watching past episode 6. It was a chore to get to that episode and I feel nothing hearing about what’s going on since. Filoni and Favreau need to be the future.

The Gilroy team would be the only team I want see on a Star Wars cinematic project. Anything else would be rank incompetence. Remember, Lindelof was the guy who broke "Lost". And he gave us "Prometheus" which I'm *still* trying to work out what it was about.

I'm always stunned when Lucasfilm make mass SW announcements because it's a given that a good proportion of them won't happen. Jason was right about the 'kiss of death'! Just for context I have loved so much of what Disney has brought to us....just saying the announcements can't be taken without several grains of salt.

You know...as much I enjoy the Filoni/Favreau double team, I don't think they could pull off a full scale cinematic production the way the Gilroy team could. Rogue One was an outstanding piece of cinema that, in my mind, is the best Star Wars film since Revenge Of The Sith. I fear Filoni/Favreau would get caught up in the whole 'basking at the feet of George,' whereas Gilroy would be ballsy enough to go his own way - while sticking to the basic precepts of the universe. I also get the impression Gilroy would be ballsy enough to tell Kathy to f*ck off when needed and OMG does she need to be told to f*ck off.

I finally caught up after my spoiler quarantine for Andor. I binged Andor and Tales friday and saturday and since then I've been nonstop binging every RFR show since the 20th of september that I missed to avoid spoliers! It's so great to be with you again! And what a show Andor is!!! I hope to catch you live for the next aftershow even though it's at 3 in the morning. I'm home sick so I don't need to care for sleep anyway!

Hi Jimmy Mac, Jon Favreau has referred to Grogu as Baby Yoda, he actually did it during his interview with Krystina Arielle Celebration 2022. It’s two minutes into the interview on YouTube if you want to check it out. Please don’t think I’m trying to Comic Book Guy you, nothing but love for you guys. I just remember watching it and think Jon has scraped the original rule book and has come to terms with it. Which just goes to show you he’s still a fan at heart.
