TOP 20 LIGHTSABER DUELS RANKED

"Your father's Lightsaber. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster. A more elegant weapon, from a more civilized age". Ben Kenobi's presentation of the lightsaber to Luke means a lot to original generation STAR WARS fans who saw the film on it's initial release. RFR V.I.P Jon, along with myself are a couple of fans from that generation.   Join us as we review every significant live-action lightsaber duel and compare our opinions to those collected by Jon in an RFR Patreon survey where each duel was judged on the merits of story impact, visual effects, and choreography. All categories were judged on a scale from 1 to 5 and the results of the survey determined the ranking of each duel, one thru twenty.   Watch each duel with us and get the results!

Cool episode, thanks for putting this one together!

I’ve enjoyed this episode a lot! Great talks and awesome new VIP! My only hang up is Vimeo ☹️ when I leave the video and come back, it doesn’t save where I left off. I use the Patreon app to get access to the links and when I watch a video that comes from YouTube it works out fine and I can come back and finish where I leave off. Maybe I need another app to better watch it?

Great episode - quite a bit of work went into putting this together - nicely done!

Great episode, I mean every single position is wrong per my scores 🤣🤣🤣 but that just means I know nothing which my missus has been telling me for decades. More of this please and do you take bribes, my self esteem has taken a hit?

Wasn't the whole point to the Luke death to save his friends... without Leia for example Beeeeeennnnnn never returns from the dark side.

Like Jimmy said, i think that was the first time ive watched all the saber duels all together like that, really cool. And i agree about the Kylo/Finn duel from TFA, walking out of the theater i was fully convinced Finn was gonna be a jedi in the next movie, based on how well he did against Kylo. And i think the Luke/Kylo duel gets a story bump just for depicting the motion picture onscreen death of Luke Skywalker, but in terms of story effect, Luke dying the way he did at the end of VIII allows him to become a force ghost and essentially haunt the force visions of Kylo throughout IV, interfering with Kylo’s attempts to turn Rey to the dark side. Great job Jon, New England represent! I live in Lowell, MA, and my parents used to live on Peaks, though they moved a couple years back to Swans Island which is a little further out from Mount Desert.
