So what does everyone really think is going on in that lab on Mount Tantiss...? I have yet to listen to the RFR episode, but here's my own prediction: They're trying to make Force-strong clones (i.e. Jedi clones). Maybe through growth acceleration ala the original Thrawn novels, with the clones who were crazy. Something like that. It makes the most sense given that they brought back Mount Tantiss, which if I remember right was used in part for that purpose. Thoughts?

It really breaks my brain that someone thought RFR copies Screencrush haha The idea that RFR who has been doing this for 15 years is copying a yt channel that has been around 7 years - is silly. To doubledown - Screencrush has been accused of stealing content from others. Specifically the youtuber Mr. Sunday Movies and the format/content of his videos. There’s been quite a lot stolen from RFR. They have been there since the beginning so of course people are gonna lift. Not long ago a podcast announced they have a puppet Lando and said they had no idea anyone else was doing something like that lol. You could liken it to Howard Stern and all his early to current bits being lifted. Drives him crazy but nothing you can do about it except not listen to the thief.

Hearing all the talk about Tech being gone or not makes me think. In anything Star Wars, has there been any hero who makes the ultimate sacrifice--but it turns out to be a fakeout death? I'm struggling to remember even one at the moment....

Btw, Threepio and Chewie from ROTS don't count! Lol Chewie didn't make a self-sacrifice; and as for Threepio, for better or worse, he wasn't actually going to die, to begin with. Makes sense his memory could be backed up to me. :P And I don't think Rey counts either, as I don't think she had fully passed on before Ben Solo gave up his life for her, what with the dyad stuff and all that.

As for Tech's death, I'm actually a strong proponent for it, just from a purely storytelling perspective. I think it would really cheapen his sacrifice if he turns out to be alive after all. His death reinforces not only how far the Bad Batch will go to save their brothers, but the impact of that moment will forever be lost if it's just a fakeout. Not to mention that with as good as the show has gotten, I have high praise for the writers thus far, which only gets higher if Tech is truly gone. I'd rather not see that respect get lessened for the sake of more adventures with Tech. Lets see his death have a real impact and have real meaning with consequences. It ups the stakes way more for an explosive third season when you as a viewer can believe anyone could be lost, too. Plus, it'd be interesting to see if his death has any impact on Crosshair going forward. A lot of complaints have been made about the last episode of Mando showing unstoppable warriors. Well, I think that would be a similar complaint of Tech was brought back: If the BB can survive a several thousand foot drop, what's really gonna kill them?! Come on. Let's get some great storytelling going here. Tech's actual death has way more going for it than the alternative. And who knows? Maybe his death will be something of a rallying call later on when Rex finds out, too. A brother gone but not forgotten.
