The evolution of Luke Skywalker from OT to Sequels is looked at closely by RFR V.I.P. Scott St. Louis who has a theory about Luke's actions propelling The Force to react and how that fuels the entire Sequel trilogy. We also talk about building lightsabers at GALAXY'S EDGE and the failure of the STAR WARS hotel, GALACTIC STARCRUISER. Plus, the Galloping Ghost Arcade and the classic Atari STAR WARS arcade game and more!

Hey there! I'm late to this one and am only about 45 minutes in, but wanted to say welcome! I'll definitely have more to say later when I can get a bit more time. It's great to hear someone else talk the sequel films for a change. Normally it's just me, it feels like. Lol You've got some great thoughts I wanted to engage with a bit, as the idea of Luke's death has been on my mind for ages now. More later!

Scott, amazing job on your first Q and A. I'm a lifelong Red Sox fan thanks to my dad. When we lived in the Hershey, PA area my parents came out to visit and I took my dad to Boston. We went to a Red Sox game but did the Fenway tour before the game. It was awesome!!! I don't remember the exact year we did this but was between 2008 and 2011. No clue if they still do this or not. We ate in the restaurant that was in the outfield wall on field level. So cool. I watched the 86 series live and cried myself to sleep when they lost. I've always felt bad for Buckner because the relief pitching was terrible and the real reason the Sox lost that game. I totally agree the Finn moment is where the Force awakens. In fact, I think there is a force sound effect that plays at the moment he awakens. Loved your example of Jesus becoming finite. The hotel discussion was good. We loved the frog from Solo and the weird music. Would totally take that over what the Starcruiser got. You nailed it. Nostalgia is way the hotel failed. There wasn't anything to do that brought you back to the nostalgia you had when you first saw Star Wars. Also, it was way too expensive. What would people want to do and see on a hotel experience? That's what they should've delivered. I had no clue there was an Empire version of the Atari arcade game. I never saw it or played it as a kid. I thought The Holiday Special was a dream. I talk to Jimmy about this in Q and A #76

And I always love a conversation that starts out with “in my head cannon…” I love your theory that maybe Luke cut himself off from the Force right before The Force Awakens. And that’s what made Finn not shoot/take his helmet off/etc. in my own head cannon I assumed Luke had cut himself off from the Force a long time before the events of TFA. I will watch TFA differently from now on.

Great job Scott! I'm a little late to the party but I'm enjoying catching up on these.

Hi, I'm new to being an RFR Patreon (Subscribed to YouTube recently again) checking back through some past podcasts. I appreciate your commentary about the Galactic Cruiser, I personally never got to visit it. The price and theme set in the sequel era are the biggest contributing factors to lack of interest. I did want to comment that the concept is not to be a hotel, but to be like a cruise, more so, like a Disney Cruise, hence the sappy entertainment options. The idea was to board a Cruiser into space much like one would board a 2 day boat cruise, and visiting the Galaxy Edge section is kind of like docking land and getting off the boat/cruiser for a few hours. It's not meant to feel like a hotel. I feel that was one factor in the descriptions that the discussion didn't recognize/realize. Overall the commentary regarding the conceot was fairly intriguing. Also per your commentary this episode, I'll try to go back to YouTube channel and make sure I click like on all the recent podcasts I've been now enjoying through Patreon. Thanks
