Loved the Indy 5 film theory! Makes total sense. Glad someone else is a fan of Good Omens too! That was great comfort watching during the pandemic

Did my recording go wrong or did we miss the “hey heys” I’ve only just put it on but I seem to join midway

Ah scrap that I’ve caught up !

Y'all thought you had it bad with the vintage proof of purchase running cardbacks. In England with the old Palitoy figures, we had to cut out the whole name plate and send these in to redeem special offers.

I know you all have come to appreciate and love Jimmy Mac for his work on RFR but I go back further to the stuff he helped get on the Chicago airwaves starting in the 1990’s. He worked with true broadcast legends and the Charlton Heston and Mr. Ed games are merely the tip of the iceberg of the content he was involved with creating. It always makes me happy to hear him tell these stories!

Great story about Mr. Ed and Charlton Heston!

I just finished listening to this latest episode and enjoyed it! I may have to revisit the 2005 War of the Worlds movie. I liked the movie while seeing it, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression. I’m not sure film is the best medium for telling this story. One of my most enduring memories of the movie is that the second half seemed very different from the first half. Another interesting fact is that some of the special effects at the beginning were so expensive to carry out that other effects had to be curtailed to stay within budget; for example the tripods in some of the scenes were much smaller scale than originally envisioned both in the novel and in the original vision for the film.

Great conversation as always, and ‘The Banking Clan’ would be a great name for a financial themed podcast! The real question would be would you go in universe (I bet Coruscant has a large stock market) or real world (‘ep 1: how to make thousands!’ Step 1: sell you Star Wars collection.)?

They have the residential exterior set from when the airliner crashed as part of the Universal Studios CA backlot tour. Pretty cool.

Well we’d have to have segments then. In universe talk, and then real world talk about the going rate for used Pepsi cans and George Lucas’s net worth.
